Video from an event the weekend before last. Stock alignment, and on stock tires. Was in the low 60's all day, and getting traction was difficult all day long. Will do a proper alignment and get it fully prepped in the spring.

Dbullis27 - I heard from many local Autocrossers that we missed seeing a C8 run at the recent SCCA Solo event, which really bummed me out until your video popped-up, so thanks muchly for posting your video. From that video it looks like you had a blast driving your family C8 "in anger"... good fun!
We are quite anxious for the delivery of our C8 (hoping by Dec/Jan) so we can get it properly broken-in and prepped for similar fun next year.
We look forward to meeting you at a future regional event and until then, best regards and Happy C8 Motoring. -Rick
A little bit, but not bad. Knowing its there, I can drive around most of it. The biggest issue was lack of traction from the temp and tires. I could have used some more lateral grip for the high speed offsets. And was running in Track/Sport 2.
Dbullis27 - I noted that you used a camera on roof mounted "weather vane" mount for your video... which provided a great look-ahead view. If your C8 has a PDR, I was interested in your opinions on how the PDR look-ahead view compares to the roof mount camera view.... is the PDR view OK or just too low? Thanks again for sharing your video and we look forward to meeting you at a future regional event. Best regards and Happy C8 Motoring. -Rick

For this event, I just didnt have a card for the C8. I do like having a few different views tho. A side mount is one I use often as well. That allows you to check your distance from the cones and can help you adjust your turn ins. If you look thought my channel, you will see a few different views. Who do you run with up there? I had planned on making a few Corvette/Viper clubs events, but they filled up fast.

Dbullis27 - Thank you for your reply. Understood that you didn't have a card for the PDR and thanks for the description of various camera views you prefer... I will check out your channel to see more. I usually use a windshield top/centered camera mount location to get close to a driver's eye-level view of the course to refine car placement, brake and look-ahead aim points. As to your question, in the greater Seattle Area there are many active Autocross Clubs: NWR-SCCA, WWSCC, BSCC, Viper/Corvette Clubs Events (as you mentioned) and few other private clubs (PCA-PNWR and BEAC) that hold "local" Autocross Events. Unfortunately most of those clubs will be negatively impacted in 2021 by uncertain availability of Bremerton Motorsports Park and the very nice (but distant) site at Hampton Mills in Packwood, WA. With those significant site availability unknowns, I can only suggest that you keep an eye on the NWR-SCCA and the WWSCC Web Pages to see what shakes-out for Seattle area Autocross event schedules in 2021. Hope to meet you at a future regional Autocross Event. Happy C8 Motoring! -Rick
