Day after receiving car took it to have the windows tinted. Upon arriving I made the mistake of not utilizing the front camera and scuffed the splitter 😭. Never had a front camera but now understand its value!!! New tint 🙂
Tint’s called Stratos, which is hybrid-matrix dual ceramic material with IR absorbing properties and solar heat reduction. Went with best available, there, due to 3LT leather interior. Tinted side windows and the small interior cab window...15%.
Car does look damn good though so i do feel his pain.
After a year of getting my Z, i remember seeing the first rock chip (so not my fault lol) by the front bumper. It's not bad, i put touch up paint and unless you're right up close to it, you won't notice it. But i remember being so mad that night when i was ordering the touch up paint.
After that, i say about another month, i was like F this, might as well just use this car as a car and not some christmas ornament that gets taken out once a year like most owners do with their corvettes lollzzz.
But man OP that C8 is sick. Definitely looks perfect with the dark tints and black wheels.
It's $150 worth of Tupperware, just bolt a new one on, cheap compared to getting any wrap done. I have a 1LT and so I put mine on as an expendable throw away piece since I couldn't have a front camera.

Agree, they are very inexpensive in the scheme of things and an easy do-it-yourself bolt on project. Get a few more scrapes on it and trade it in. Splitters take a lot of abuse. No way would I spend a grand on a fancy Double Latte Macchiato Carbon Fiber blessed by the Pope splitter.
See if you can tone down the marks with some WD40 or a vinyl product.

Stratos is excellent. Kind of a waste to not do the windshield, in 70%, though. You get way more heat rejection properties, that way. Most tint shops, around me, only quote you for the entire package. I have Formula One Pinnacle, on one car, Formula One Stratos, on one car, and XPEL Prime XR Plus, on my other one. XPEL is supposed to outperform the Stratos, but I think I like the shade of my Stratos, better than the XPEL.

I just did the stratos front windshield on the wifes Tahoe and it’s been great
I was buying high-end astro camera equipment from a manufacturer and he would personally use the cameras that had slight cosmetic imperfections. He referred to those imperfections as "beauty marks" and would chuckle that his customers were so worried about a little mark here or there. I thought long about his approach and realized that everything I have will eventually get a "beauty mark or two" and then I don't have to worry about perfection and just enjoy the product. Just sayin'...
Beautiful car with a couple of "beauty marks". Now go out an drive the hell out of it!
OP. Self correcting mistake. Buy a new splitter install it and watch out for next time. Or that scrape is going to taint your ownership experience you will always stare it down. And every once in a while some clown will point it out to you. Call it an educational fee and go back to enjoying it.
