Default Whacky mirror!

Since a couple days ago my passenger side mirror automatically adjusts pointing to the sky every time I start the car. I have to adjust it back to normal on every drive, anybody know how to solve this issue? Thanks in advance!

This started happening after I let my wife drive it. She has to touch every damn button.

Sounds like it's adjusted for parking where you are "supposed to set it to tilt down!" It's set the opposite, perhaps she didn't look when adjusting or didn't know that is what she is doing! I don't have mine set that way and I don't park next to curbs on the right!

Start the car with your fob, then adjust that mirror and re-save your memory position.

You know something that I want to know. Sound like starting the car with the FOB button does something different, doesn't do something at all, but is somehow different than getting in and hitting the Start button in a traditional way. So what's different?

I did not imply that anything is different. My intent was for the OP to be sure to use "His" fob versus the other fob. Just have that fob present and start the car so the settings are recalled. Then fix the mirror and re-save the memory setting. If you remote start using the fob, the memory settings aren't recalled until you get in the car and press the start button.

There are a number of differences using the remote start on the fob and they are outlined on pages 16-17 of the Owners Manual.

Ah, the days of just reaching over, adjusting it by hand... and forgetting about it for the life of the car, or driver, whichever comes first.

Because if it was like that, everyone would have a melt down that a $20k Kia has power mirrors and what a rip off GM is for not having it on their $60k + sports car.

Nothing has worked. I've tried everything from resetting the mirrors, changing key fobs, and saving seat position a dozen more times. Taking it to the dealer.

Watch out for the drivers side mirror to join the passenger side pointing skyward. If so, get ready for flight like the V22 Osprey.

So I solved this before I looked like a fool at the dealer. My wife used the spare key fob when she drove the car....apparently each key fob is specific towards 1 or 2 setting. I hadn't touched the #2 settings so when I continued to use that fob it would automatically go to setting 2.

That's exactly what @Zymurgy post said... could have saved a day or two giving his idea a try.

Well done Zym, solved another one without even being there!!
