Default Love the new C8

Put my first deposit down on the C8 in July of 2019 and finally got it. Happy to sell my C7 today to a friend I have known since we were newborns. Love the C8 & only 130 miles in.

cool pic in that it is a similar build in C7 and C8. the C8 definitely looks more exotic. i have a 2016 C7 and this pic is telling me to put in an order for a C8.

It’s crazy how big the C8 looks in side-by-side pics with even C7’s.

Yep positions in pic help explain some of the appearance difference, BUT the C8 is NOT a small car! It's 6 inches longer than the C7, wider than my C7 Z51 and almost as wide as my 2017 Grand Sport!

Made pic for another reason but these are the dimensions:

Red again? Boring. Kidding. I’ve had 4 Silver in a row: C6, C6z06, C7 conv and C7 coupe. Went with Blue for the C8 (but really liked the silver).
I hope you gave your buddies good deals on the used and they are probably lining up for your C8.

Just what I thought when first seeing the picture, too bad it takes a year or more to get a (new) C8.

It's like buying a Ferrari. As Enzo said, anticipation and waiting is part of the buying experience!

It does look and feel a lot bigger than the C7. Both great cars. It was a hard decision between Rapid Blue & Torch Red. I have seen the Rapid Blue in person at the dealer and it is stunning.

I've only driven my C8 (1LT Z51 FE4) for 20 miles. This is my first Corvette. This car absolutely is an awesome car to drive. It is an experience, at least for me, especially compared to anything else I have owned. It is a seriously good looking car that sounds seriously awesome and drives as comfortably as my 07 530 sedan. What GM has done with this car is amazing, and after reading over a year's worth of criticisms and disses and complaints that the C8 be compared against super cars, its 'just' a production car, cant compare to European exotics, etc, etc. I cannot for my life imagine how people are finding fault with this car.

If you are waiting for one, you are in for an unbelievable treat. If you are thinking of pulling the trigger, I recommend doing it and get on with the waiting and anticipation. Even it the base trim form, I am blown away by how nice this car is and I am sure that 99% of you all wil feel the same way. It is hard for me to imagine driving more car, or even feeling like I'd need to. I think we all new the C8 was a special machine the minute we saw it and started to learn about it. Just how special of a machine you will see once you get yours. It is awesome.

Enjoy yours, or enjoy the wait! The anticipation is totally worth it.

OP - congrats on your C8 and nice that you could sell your C7 to someone you know.

JerryU - thanks for the dimension chart you created. Interesting measurements.
