Default WHOOMP There It Is!

The new HTC arrived today. Lowered 1” and ready for Vossen 20/21s. Many thanks to Russ Carter my dealer at Criswell Chevrolet - incredibly responsive and really helped with my build. The car is a beast.

Congrats. Why did you pay extra for black wheels then if you are going to just turn right around and replace them as soon as you got the car?

I will likely be in the same boat. When I ordered (exactly 1 yr ago today btw) there were no aftermarket options out there and the CF looked "best" of the factory choices IMO.

Ordered CF and prolly go MRR M755's (C7 ZR1 look all black 10 spokes)...

Have a look at the used C8 OEM wheel market (on eBay, etc.). Several base silver on eBay around $1k, CF carry more of a premium (closer to $2k, so suspect we could prolly recoup the $1k RPO delta). I plan to keep both sets anyway as I am upsizing tires to C7 Z06 spec anyhow....just trying to verify offsets for that. Don't want them sticking out too far, but factory ones are tucked in too close.

Many not loving on the factory rims, myself included.

OP: Car looks great lowered. Did dealer do it for you? RU mag ride/front lift (more difficult lowering, but can be done)?

Gorgeous spec, and the lowering makes a huge difference visually. Get the right offset with your aftermarket wheels and it’ll be absolutely stunning. Enjoy!

I have seen multiple aftermarket wheels since I ordered The car that are significantly nicer and I love the 20/21 stagger.

The dealer lowered and aligned the car prior to delivery. Mag ride but no lift option.
