While a black interior is undoubtedly the overwhelming choice, I kind of like the red interior on the yellow cars - an in your face kind of color combo.
Just..... no. I also learned after owning a 300zxtt with red interior that it's impossible to ever find a matching red way down the road if you need side bolster repairs, etc. I just stick with black now. It's also easier to sell a car with a black interior.
If I was the dealer placing the order for that car, I would require $20,000 nonrefundable earnest money, just as I would if I were a builder about to consider building A home that I might be stuck with if the buyer did not follow through with the purchase. To each their own, and I applaud anyone for going bold and with what they like. But I think that color combination will take a $20,000 hit on resell. Maybe not at the moment, maybe only $10,000 today, but certainly once production starts to catch up. I don’t mean $20,000 hit off of MSRP, I am seeing $20,000 off of oh what it could fetch with black interior. So if accelerate yellow C eights were going for 30 K over MSRP, I would comfortably put this one at 10,000 over MSRP just as an example.
