I have an Verizon LG V30 Android phone paired with my new C8 and cannot get the answer to this question from Corvette Concierge so hoping someone on here can shed some light. When I have my Bluetooth turned on on my paired cell phone and I get a text message, the notification sound does not come through the car speakers. I can feel my phone make a slight vibration but must be holding the phone to feel it and that defeats the purpose of hands free. My last C7 Vette would announce through the speaker my notification message "you have a text message". I am using the app Zedge on my phone for ringtones and notifications. I must be missing something in settings somewhere. When I turn Bluetooth off, my phone notifications work fine on both incoming text messages and incoming phone call sounds through my phone.
Also, when my paired phone rings in the car (Bluetooth is turned on in phone settings) I figured out from this forum that I had to turn up the volume as a call was coming in to hear a call sound through car speakers. However, my phone rings the notification song that I have set for the contact who is calling on my phone but I'm also getting a ringing sound coming through the car speakers. Must be a way to sync this properly so only the ringtone plays through car speakers as my C7 used to do. Should I disconnect and repair phone? Do I need to use Android phone app on car? I would prefer not to use Android car app uf at all possible and just hands free calling. Is it possible I need to turn the car volume up as I'm getting a text message like a phone call?
