Default 2lt v. 3 lt

I'm a the top of the list at my local dealer for a 2021. Like most of us in that situation, I'm mulling over any last minute change I might like to make before the actual order is finalized. I pretty much know what I want, Z-51, HTC, lift, mag ride, etc. I was asked the other day by a friend what the major differences were between a LT2 and LT3 interior package. Frankly, other than the so called 'dipped' interior, what are the major differences? Money is not really an obstacle, however I'm not really into the "dipped" concept. Does anyone have a breakdown on other differences?

Differences in 1LT and 2LT aren't much visually, it's all tech and features and frankly I can't imagine not having several of them after having my 2LT for a month and half now. Mainly the rear view camera, parking front cameras, and PDR. If money isn't a factor, get the 2LT. Here is a list I lifted from another thread.

1LT Feature Highlights:
  • 8-Way Power GT1 Seats
  • GT1 Seats – Mulan Leather
  • Keyless Access with Push-Button Start
  • Driver Mode Selector and Valet Mode
  • Dual-Zone Electronic Climate Control
  • Locking Glove Box
  • HD Rear Vision Camera and Rear Park Assist†
  • Leather-Wrapped Flat-Bottom Steering Wheel
  • Bose 10-speaker Audio System
  • SiriusXM Satellite Radio®† for Three Months
  • 8-inch Diagonal Color touch-screen
  • Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System†
  • 12-inch Color Driver Information Center
  • Bluetooth® Phone Connection† and Phone Projection
  • Steering Wheel-Mounted Controls
  • Power Windows Express-Up/-Down
  • Visors with Illuminated Vanity Mirrors
  • Power Tilt/Telescoping Steering Wheel
  • Cabin Air Filtration

2LT Includes everything in 1LT, plus:
  • Head-Up Display
  • Power Lumbar and Wing Adjustment
  • Wireless Phone Charging†
  • Heated and Vented Seats
  • Heated Steering Wheel
  • Bose Performance Series 14-Speaker Audio System
  • Navigation with Traffic†
  • Performance Data Recorder
  • SiriusXM Satellite Radio®† with 1-year Subscription
  • Universal Home Remote Sun Visor
  • Power-Folding Mirrors
  • Rear Camera Mirror† – Coupe
  • Memory Package
  • Curb View Camera†
  • Side Blind Zone Alert†
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert†
  • Advanced Theft-Deterrent System
  • Parcel Nets

If you are already getting the GT2 seat and standard interior colors, then the only difference is the stitched headliner on the 3LT.

Don't forget, 3LT puts more color on the dashboard lower panels, assuming you are getting an interior color OTHER than black, AND it's NAPA leather, rather than Mulan leather. Stitching on the headliner too.

You don't have to get a "dipped" interior if you choose 3LT, but if you do want a dipped interior, then you must get 3LT.

Also, if you want the new Strike yellow / sky gray interior then you must choose 3LT.

The GT2 seats are included as part of the 3LT package, so if you are wanting those anyways, it reduces the net cost of the 3LT package.

That's what I needed to know. I think I'll stick with the 2 LT.. I'm getting a black car with black/red interior.

Phanni, I have a 3LT with the two toned black and red seats and the lower dash panels on both the driver's side and passenger side are RED in my car.

Had I chosen a 2LT those lower dash panels would have been black. Not my choice.... There also might be other areas that get more of the RED too, but I'm not 100% sure. Perhaps the center console area and door panels.

CORRECTION .......
All versions of the 2021 C8 will have wireless APPLE CAR PLAY & ANDROID AUTO .....but not WIRELESS CHARGING - only for 2LT and 3LT.

(I do not understand why having wireless car play doesn't give you wireless charging?)

I only went 3lt for color scheme (wanted red seats but not red interior). You can tell in a 3lt all surfaces surface are trimmed in leather, but honestly the 2 and 1LT still look great. If it wasn't for color and I was already doing GT2 I would not have done 3lt. 2lt is the best value on the car besides the magnetic ride for 2k on the 2021s. A 2LT/magnetic ride 2021 is under 70k and that's an insane bargain.

Regarding the 3LT headliner, do we know if it is stitched or just embossed? Stitching is expensive.

I had 2LT in both a C6 and C7, and they were both fine. However I’m going 3LT for the C8. Mostly because I can, but getting closer to my last Corvette and I want all I can get. Not getting a “dipped” interior, but doors, headliner, and horn pad swayed me.

GM's configurator as an option that lets you compare trims. See the differences between LT2 Vs LT3, select one, then select the other trim. The link below may work. If not, read, and follow instructions to compare one to the other.

You are right, that is not correct. Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto are standard on all trim levels:

PPW NEW! Wireless Apple CarPlay/Wireless Android Auto - standard on all trim levels
Wireless charging is only on the 2LT and 3LT

K4C Wireless Charging for devices - 2LT and 3LT only

He was actually asking about the difference between 2 and 3LT.
