Since I live nearby, heading over to MacMulkin this morning to check out a morello red interior in person. Thinking about it as a possibility under ceramic gray. Will ask if any word from GM re allocation cycles starting. (Yes, of course I’m bringing boxes of Dunkin’ Donuts with me)

I plan on getting Morello dipped with Red Mist from MM. See if the reflections on the windshield are bothersome. Have fun!

i heard all that reflection stuff years ago when I had a porsche with a beige dash. It is not a concern for me. It’s all about the color combination that appeals to me the most.
MacMulkin had about 15 C8’s on hand waiting for their new owners to take delivery/transport. Viewing the color combinations in person inspired me to change my spec. Now going with ceramic matrix gray over morello red dipped. They are really all stunning, can’t go wrong with any color.
Did they tell you how many deposits they currently have for the 2021 Corvette?
All the guys were clearly trained to be vague. They don’t want to make representations that may not come true. Very guarded when it came to questions about timing.

You are one lucky guy , its like you went to the candy store for Halloween ,and you were the only kid in the store .That's the advantage of being close toMM .Curious what color combo did you change from ??? Also since since you brought the donuts did they tell you how many spots they expect you to drop before your order actually get matched to an allocation.???
I'm hoping the drop out rate will increase as it get close to the point that the deposits are no longer refundable

its admittedly great to see the colors in person! Even my wife enjoyed seeing them all lined up and shined up. My initial choice was ZB with natural dipped. But the morello red looked 1000% better in person vs photos. The morello contrasting against ceramic matrix is killer. My wife’s favorite was rapid blue.

I, too, am blessed to live close to MM. It was pure luck, as I've never bought a Corvette before!
I once was only a couple of miles from MM in Merrimack, right off 3. It was a different time/different life, but wish it was reversed now. Although, right after receiving the C8, I'd want to be back again. I've long since stopped putting up my hobby rides for winter; now just drive them 365.....

Yes, he posted this about 5 hours ago:

I actually would have concluded far fewer based on their tracking page.
I am retired and will occasionally go to Coughlin Chevrolet in Pataskala, Ohio to see what Rick Conti has. I have seen every color except black and IMHO Blade silver is the best. Cant believe they discontinued it for 2021.

I agree...I had a '20 Blade Silver Coupe that I sold in August and have a '21 HTC on order in Silver Flare but still not sold on the Silver Flare from what I have seen.

I saw Morello Red this morning, and I liked it too--much better than I thought I would. Good choice!

I heard a salesman tell another customer that they're up into the mid-700's.

I have a thread about my journey to becoming a first-time Corvette owner. It's about the decision-making and learning process I'm going through while buying a new C8, and in case you want to see the car photos I took this morning, I've started posting them here: My (nick)name is Bear, and I have a first-world problem. - Page 6

there's a ceramic gray with morello interior sitting on the showroom floor at Hood Chevrolet in Covington LA. Saw it in person.....Awesome!!! Car's been there awhile with a "SOLD" sign on the dash.....Think it's the dealership owner's personal car. Eye candy I suppose.
