Radar Detector Security Mount
Is there such thing as a security mount for a radar detector? Basically a mount with a short security cable that could attach to the detector or a quick release for the detector? I ordered a C8 HTC and when I had my C7 this would have been useful to park the car and not worry about somebody grabbing a $800 radar! I know the mounts have a release but I found that the pressure it takes to pop off the radar often knocked the mount in the mirror which is a real pain to reinstall. I can find no record of either but it would be a great idea. Like a quick release magnet mount or a cable?

C8's so new it'll take time for the aftermarket to catch-up for accessories.
Looks like w/s suction cup will have to do in the meantime.

However my Tether is NOT attached to the detector, only the mount! No place on the detector to attach a Tether or a security mount! Frankly IF I park in an area where I have a concern, I just slip the detector out of the mount and put in the glove compartment or take it with me.
Frankly although I could use a stronger eye hook from the very small one I use and a larger fishing leader, as used for Marlin, bet a cook would yank so hard something would break!
