Default Base wheel powder coat

I really didn’t like any of the wheel choices enough to pay for them, so went with the base silver wheel.
I actually liked the wheel itself, however not the cheep looking IMO silver painted finish. It may look Ok on some colors, but not Red,...
So decided to do something about it by having the wheels stripped and powder coated “hyper silver” with black metallic barrels, and machined edge similar to the black 5 spoke.
It’s a similar finish as the
HRE F11 “liquid metal” finish except this is power coated.
Looks MUCH better,..!

I totally agree with your wheel assessment, they came out incredible looking! How much did you spend modifying the stock weeks?
I just bought flow formed Forgelines in black pearl PVD powder coat process. Installing them this weekend.

It’s normally $540 for all 4 to strip and refinish which includes breaking, remounting and balancing. Not bad considering the cost of new wheels plus the cost of labor of installation.

Great looking wheel. How much were these and what size did you get?

Would like to see a pic of the car with them on! What color is your C8?

Agree. The finish on the factory wheel looks really cheap, but the design is decent. Good job.

The wheels look great. Much better than the stock wheels. I did not know the powder coater could do the machined edge like that.

Its not a "powder coater" it"s a wheel refinishing place.

Before,... notice the contrast between the center cap and the wheel

After,.... notice how the center cap is much closer to the wheel color
