Besides having your PDI done by the best Corvette PDI crew (they sign the underside of each car), you get a personal Museum tour, the tour laps at the Motorsports park, a 1 year NCM Membership, your personalized "dash" plaque (on the waterfall between the seats on the C8), the gold NCM Delivery sticker on the door jam, a personalized wall plaque, a very through walkthrough of your new car and an individual photograph in front of the Museum with you car.
If you are not within a drive from the NCM, RIGHT NOW, the only thing you can get is the NCM private tour and ( if available ) the parade laps in a C8 at the track. No plant tour, but you get a rain check for it.
So... Looks like you live in WA - unless you're planning a trip some time after the plant opens back up, you lose out on that.
I wish they'd give you the option to waive that if you can't make it back and get some $ back. Same goes for the track thing.. if you pay that on your own, it's $300.
We're only 3+ hours away, so for us to go back it's not that big a deal.
if you go to the NCM and look at all that the program gives you.....MINUS the walk through of the factory.....that's what you get. You have to evaluate to whether or not its worth it to you are not.

I am scheduled to pick up my car there 12-11, Had a Museum delivery on my 2007 Z06 was worth every penny, will go back in the future for the plant tour!

Thank you, I wasn't sure if the personal museum tour was still on. All you noted, plus hope of the factory tour reopening by the time mine is produced, definitely looks worth doing.
Yep, it is delivered to the NCM via truck just like they are to dealers everywhere (some go truck, rail, truck). Destination charge is a flat rate. The R8C charge helps support the NCM (a 503(c) organization).

I have done it 3 times (2 C5's & a C6). 12/5 will be my 4th, but first since the NCM Motorsports Park was part of the deal. I'd forgot about that. Hope it is not raining.
Agree. Best PDI on the planet, and if anything is amiss, they coordinate direct with the factory to remedy.
Since I live out West (Colorado) I choose Museum delivery to get the car as soon as possible. The allocation right after mine at our dealership is still sitting at the rail yard in Ohio (I think). I picked mine up on 9-9-2020, and my buddy is still waiting, same February allocation.
I am old and wanted it as soon as possible. Got two months driving out of it, but now it is snowing.
May be too late in year to drive across country.
Ralph
Unfortunately the NCM Motorsports Park will be suspended until spring shortly. I forget the exact date but it was confirmed to me by the NCM track manager last week. You will get a rain check.

Picking mine up there same date. When is your build?
It’s understandable why the factory tour is not available, but the “museum delivery” factory tour is fantastic. Big bummer that’s not available due to the times.

so if you get the museum delivery right now, its everything but the factory tour but you get a "voucher" for it and can go back whenever they open it again? I am in NJ and wouldn't mind the 13 hour drive (I don't think lol)... is there any way to just get a factory tour at some point down the road?
I did Museum delivery of my 2017 convertible a few months before they closed the factory for tours. To me, it was the best part. The people on the assembly line stopped to wave and thank us for our purchase. It probably won’t be open when I pick up my 2021 HTC at the Museum, but the rest of the experience is worth it, especially the PDI.

You'd have to coordinate your future personal factory tour with the NCM as they need to have a delivery advisor available to do the tour. Once tours open back up, you could go "anytime" and do the public tour (cost a few bucks, is a large group tour and is not anywhere near as good as the private tour).
Spent the afternoon looking through “NCM” and “Museum Delivery” threads and couldn’t find an answer to this....I know the destination fee is still charged, but are the dealer doc fees charged too?
