Default C8 Convertible Question

So, here is a dumb question: Since the C8 convertible top lowers to a position just above the engine, can you get to the engine with the top down? Just wondering...

Thanks for the fast response. That poses a small problem for folks that like to show their cars at car shows. Convertibles are best shown with their tops down, but most shows require the hood open to expose the engine. Interesting challenge....

On the HTC, the engine isn't "dressed" to show anyway. No painted engine cover on the 'vert engines. Plus you'd have another cover to remove once the back hatch is up if you did want to see it.

New day and a new way. Your Car Show needs to evolve to the New World Order. Most will be cancelled this spring anyway. Not worth dying for.

And, what about those fast electric cars? What would you show there?

Agree...should have evolved already....

Nah, the real question is how do you work on it? Fear not, I have the answer. Step 1. Put Top up., open rear deck. Step 2. Lease crane. Acquire rope.

Step 3. Tie rope to ankles of your shortest buddy mechanic <get him good and drunk first> . Step 4 Lower over engine, Step 5 . Set up vidio camera to catch all this. We wanna see

Assume you're joking, but other than oil and coolant, almost all normal maintenance is done from under the car. Coupe or convertible.

Some clever kid is going to make some money doing photo wraps like this. Love the humor of it. I’d order a 1969 Chevy 427.
