Corvette commands respect
Pretty sure there’s some truth to this.... I had three electricians out to bid a job. All offered the same service and rough timeline. The one that saw my car was nearly double the quotes of the other two.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
No. In God We Trust. Everybody else gets checked for warrants and/or pays cash.
But seriously....It was nice of them to do that though.

I'm also in sales, so I understand trying to estimate to the customer's ability to pay, but I'm still the same guy I was when that space in the garage had a '90 Miata in it.
Maybe it's crazy to hear, but I think most construction workers / contractors / younger guys don't have 6 figure toys. (I say "toy" because a 2-seater isn't practical for most people - like it is for me!
)I'm not sure how my <$30K, generations old vette makes anyone think I'm rich. BUT IT CERTAINLY DOES! Some of them, for sure. I hate that part of the ownership experience. Pulled up at work the first time with it and the boss, exiting his $65K pickup was floored, "WE MUST BE PAYING YOU TOO MUCH!". Not nearly enough actually. It's used and not even supercharged
..yet.What were the workers driving that worked on your bathroom? Ratty old pickups?
Guessing something like this:

The supervisors or owner probably has something really nice though.
And before someone says I'm crapping on the working class. I AM that class! I drool with jealousy at people with C7Zs and C8s. Saw a red C7 ZR1 yesterday, still sporting a semi.
