I just got my first drive in the C8 at Exotics Racing in Las Vegas. I enjoyed it very much and it made me really start thinking about ordering one. I did have one problem. If I get one, I'll plan to track it (even if it is a simple Z51). When the track put me in a helmet, I was shy on headroom, bumping the headliner multiple times on every stripe on the track. As a tall guy with short arms/legs, I have to lower the seat, extend the steering wheel telescope but make the seat back relatively upright to reach the steering wheel properly, leaving me very short on headroom.
Does anyone know if there are lower, aftermarket seats that I might figure to install or some way to make the steering wheel extend further (allowing me to recline the seat more)? Thanks to all for sharing your knowledge.
I'm thinking about that but my local tracks do not allow convertibles. I realize that the C8 isn't a ragtop but it makes me nervous. I'll see if they make a distinction for the Corvette "targa" top variant.
I’ve been told most tracks will allow it top up. But I would check and as a tall person myself I was told to got basic GT1 seats which I did as well as HTC I’m 6’6

That is usually based on “soft” top convertibles as they can’t protect you or bare weight in the event of a roll over. I’m not sure where I read this, but I thought the HTC C8 was approved for most tracks.
