Default Trouble activating launch control

Hi all,

I have a non z51 with 1200km on it (past factory break in) and i cannot seem to activate launch control. I follow the directions i got online. I am in track mode and I have tried in park and in drive but cant seem to get to the point where i select what mode of launch i want. When i press the esc button twice it just either says i turned off traction control or says i entered competitive drive mode but i cant cycle through my launch options. I know I read somewhere that all c8 have launch control not just z51. Anyone else have this problem?

A non Z51 does not have FE4 suspension so the only option in NON FE4 C8 is competitive driving mode is my understanding .

So the option that Z51 Fe4 cars have are not available in a non z51 C8 .
In a Fe4 the options are as follows.
Wet
Dry
Sport 1
Sport 2
Race Esc off

These are not available on a 2020 Non z51 as FE4 Mag ride only was available if you ordered a Z51 package.

So if i understand this correctly your only option is competitive driving mode and launch control should work as follows.

Once you enter competitive driving mode and esc is off by pressing ECS button 2 time it should be as simple as apply heavy brake pressure to brake pedal. Brake pedal must be fully depressed. Then press gas pedal to the floor when RPM level off at 3500, release brake pedal and keep the gas pedal to the floor.

Hope this helps

I have been telling people a complete base C8, no options could be quicker than. C8 with all kinds of options. People need to realize that spending more money on options don’t necessarily make it quicker. I’ve been hearing that if you get it right that 0-60 in 2.6 seconds is doable.
