You get that error message if there are no updates available. It's definitely a confusing message.

Neither OnStar nor Wi-Fi are required for Over The Air Updates. Try it out of your garage. Being inside may be blocking the signal used.

Friday vehicle said update available when I shut it off, so I selected update now , When I turned vehicle on later it stated that the update failed and to contact dealer . Now Im
getting Same error message about network connection. Is there a way to see what updates have been installed ? Or do I really need to visit my dealer service dept ? Thanks,Ed

You can get a list of installed updates: It is somewhere in the System > Updates menu.

How long did you leave the vehicle turned off before your turned it back on?

Jeez, but this "system" seems needlessly complex... especially given how programs like Firefox and such update so easily.

That should have been plenty of time. I left mine off for about 15 minutes and it completed successfully. Looks like it's dealer time for you if the update does not show in the applied updates list.

One of My FOB OTAUs was a disaster. Probably because I started engine too soon - for History to update???, but the OTAU was applied, but does not show up in the History on the INFOTAINMENT screen. It's applied because FOB works with 2 clicks as it should after the update is successfully applied.

With this update, there is no way for an owner to verify? I would not make a special dealer trip, just have them check next time there for regular service. ?oil change?.

I don't think there is any way to verify this update was applied like you could with the frunk update.

I and ?Z were referring to what to do (actual perform) on your C8 to check - i.e. FOB operation vs looking at a screen that may not have it. Here is my Info screen w Update History. The FOB OTAU is not shown and the latest is shown, but the FOB OTAU is applied because it works. Again, I'll have the dealer check .... next time I am in for oil change. Software is not the C8 engineers best example pf professionalism - IMHO.

Wonder why I didn't get that Nov 17th one. I'm sure it will show up.

These updates normally come to us via "connected services" which utilise a cellular network.

I got the FOB (August 27), but it isn't showing on my screen.
BikerJulio doesn't show June 24? or if you do not have the FE Lift, I guess you don't receive it.

Default DCT OTA update failure also

It’s too bad that I cannot attempt the dct OTA update again myself without have to go to the dealer.

I checked the update history to make sure it did not try again successfully on its own but there was no update history.
