Default The Green Circle?

When driving in manual mode and accelerating in first gear, sometimes a thing green circle momentarily appears around the tachometer and then disappears. Can someone tell me what this indicates? I have scoured the owners manuals but to no avail.

Can you explain this more. It seems like I have to take my RPMs to redline before the green light comes on...is that an appropriate shift point? It seems like too high of RPMs...thoughts would be appreciated!

That's exactly what shifts lights are, an indication of when to shift. So as you get higher in the RPM range it comes on green, then yellow/orange, then red. You'll see similar color patters on the HUD in Track Mode also. The car is perfectly fine going to redline, it's designed to. Obviously if you don't want to push that much there is no reason to, but don't be afraid of it.

Thanks for the explanation. I have noticed the same rings around my C7 Tach and was wondering exactly what they meant. Could not find it in the owner's manual.

Thanks for your input. I'm going to push the car a bit more the next time I have it out and look into this more to see if I can trigger the illuminated circles...thanks!

Are you still below 500 miles? That tach will move after that.
