Is anyone here still owed dealer installed options that weren't available when your car was built? I am still owed five. If so what, if anything have you done about it? I would love to get a refund.
I was under the impression that dealer installed options would trigger a constraint if not available and you would have to delete them from your order to move forward. Glad that's not the case!

I’m glad I didn’t order any dealer installed options. I bought all of those parts cheaper online. I enjoy doing those small projects on my car. It’s a win-win.
my c8 arrived at dealer on nov 18th.
splash guards, red engine cover and rocker panel extensions were all there and i took delivery on nov 19th.
with all installed.

I just took delivery of my C8 absent of several dealer installed parts. Dealer has no idea of when the parts will come in and from what I can gather they are basically at the whim of GM on this so there is nothing they can do about the situation. I did inquire about a possible refund and I was told by my dealer that this was not possible as my car was ordered with these parts and that was that. Not sure if there is any recourse on my part other than to simply wait for the parts to show up. Very frustrating that GM sold me stuff that they don’t have but I guess with the COVID situation it is understandable.

All I added were the side skirts, not sure why because I did aftermarket on the c7. Dealer got the car and was concerned the skirts would not show up. Says there’s a separate process and warehouse system of bolt ons and the like. Said they have this issue with all vehicles like truck running boards.
They did arrive a few days after the car. Since I live 700 miles from the dealer he offered to have a local dealer install the skirts and pay the cost as a plan B

With COVID related shortages and nationwide shipping back-ups, this is a common occurrence.
I waited 11 days for 3 LPOs: Blk Tri-Spoke Wheels, Rocker Trim and Splash Guards. I figured after a 16 month wait plus the financial pain and physical suffering happpening out there, another week or so was not a big deal.
