Default PDR SD Card

Has anyone used a micro SD card with adapter for their PDR? Any issues?

That’s good to know....I have a 64 gig laying around, so will be nice to put that sucker in there when I first get the car until I get a giant 500+ Gb card during Prime Day or Black Friday next fall.

You just have to make sure that the SD Card Micro or otherwise has the right speed.

"Class 10 required, 16 GB
or larger recommended, into the
glove box SD card reader."

Currently have a 256Gb in there and PDR says it can record thousands of hours.

C7 Grand Sport seems to only like my old 16gb Class 10 SD Card. Went out and bought a new SanDisk ExtremePro 128gb Class 10 Card and the PDR will not recognize it. Just says no card installed. Tried formatting it (NTFS and eFAT), but doesn't like either one. Also seems to only record in low resolution, no HD. Tried Micro SD in a SD Card adapter and it doesn't like that either. Just got the C7 3weeks ago and trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. ???

This is posted in the C8 section. I believe the C8 PDR has different specs, so cards that work in the C8 may not work in yours.

As the above post by Racer_X pointed out, C7 maybe different from C8, but on C8, the owner's manual specifically said that the SD card needs to be formatted with exFAT formatting, so in case C7 requires the same, NTFS wouldn't work.

It's recommended that after getting a new card, do a regular full formatting of the card, not the fast "Quick Format", as full format will rewrite 0s to all memory sectors to clean things up, better chance reducing any glitches.

I also bought a SanDisk Extreme Pro SD card - here's the Amazon link:
Amazon Amazon

Formatted it in exFAT with full formatting (it took a while), and plugged it into the SD card slot on my C8, and the PDR recognized it right away. It works great, as even setting the video recordings in 1080p resolution, C8's PDR shows it can record more than 1,000 min:

Thanks for the tip. I just bought this and a card reader because my laptop doesn't have one. The SD card is currently on sale too.
