Good luck, between the employee side business and toy scalpers ( personal shopping assistants, LOL), you’ll be lucky to find one on a peg. I’ve found the Yellow car at food stores, but that red one is Target only. And now there are a series of C8 pace cars to keep track of.

Absolutely right, but in all seriousness it's going to make it that much more exciting when the days comes and I (hopefully) find one...even if it's only 1 I'm going to scream like a child haha...speaking of I'm gonna shower up and go back hunting haha.

EDIT - Targets in Jax has not updated their inv in a while, eventually I guess lol, still a beautiful day in Jacksonville Beach so worth the drives!

 

Found 1 yellow C8R so far. Nothing of the other colors. Honestly I'm surprised they aren't ever where. I've been a toy collector (actual collector, not scalper) for years and hot wheels corvettes are never a prime car that scalpers or collectors really go after. Sure, maybe other brands and special editions but never the regular hot wheels.

 

I think it is more of a supply issue as the stores in my area are very thin on HW's inventory. Hoping that whenever the supply chain issues resolve I'll find a flood of them on the shelves. Sounds familiar I know

 

I got tired of hunting it down at every target, bought the yellow and red cars from one seller on eBay for $16 total.

 

Yup, just broke down myself and bought a package deal on 4 grey #4's.

 

Received the 4 grey's #4's and got inspired this past weekend to customize some of the extra yellow ones I had.

Separated the body from the chassis, stripped the paint, hit it with some primer then 1 final coat and now have a couple of "first editions" to add to my collection.

In the middle now of tacking customizing a couple of the Matchbox C8's I had to match my silver flare build.

 

My 5 year walked in with one the other day. He was excited to show me…

One of the Corvette related gifts from my wife yesterday for Father's Day ... nice to add these to the C8.R collection.

 

wow, these are cool.. I will have to keep my eyes open to buy some. I have the Traxxas C8 RC car, it is pretty cool.

 

Been checking the local Walmarts and Target to see if any C8 HW cars are on the shelf, but none yet.

This was the Stingray Hot Wheels release this year. It's the ID series which I guess runs for like $5 retail. Probably easier to wait for the general release blue one in 2022.

I have the miniGT by TSM. Sebring Orange coupe and next month, Sebring Orange HTC.

there are several customs out there as well, both for the C8.R and C8

if you like Rapid Blue or the yellow, MiniGT has them out.

if you like black or white, TrueScale by Johnny Lightning has those, as well as a red variant.

MiniGT also has variants, Gray with Orange contrasting features.

I have the Transport already. It is 1/64 scale and pricey. Target and Walmart if you can beat the employees

Dont forget the Hallmark Ornament, they only make one of each generation.

 

The rapid blue miniGT is so good. Better than the hotwheels C8R I own. I ordered a paint pen and will be adding yellow accents to match my interior stitching today to the miniGT. Love it.
