more woes for c8 ordering
Called Fremont Chevrolet ask if they where the ones who had a orange c8 : um not sure he says : Then he says think we are getting one . Then he says you know we are charging 15k over sticker on all corvettes . My replay is something to the effect of s,,,w u and hung up more gouging . Gm needs to sell these cars these dealers are making it so hard to buy one. Just a little c8 story for the day

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
1: Take the red one from Victory, assuming it's still available and they're actually going to sell it at MSRP.
2: Order one spec's exactly like you want, though it looks like getting it by August might be optimistic.
3: Find one exactly like you want available now, (long shot) and pay the "gotta have it now" tax.
Point is, you have to choose what is more important, price, specification, or time. Get what you want now and pay more, get what you want at MSRP and wait awhile, or get one now at MSRP and compromise on what you want.
SIDEBAR
Was the same for a short time for early 2014 C7s. Very large dealer I placed my "hold-a-spot" order in Feb 2013 when it came in September 2013 was very upset he could not order a car for his Showroom let alone to sell. Didn't last long for the C7. Lasting ~2 years for the C8. But before mid 2022 perhaps you can probably look at the largest Vette dealer, Kerbecks website, and see different colors and options for sale. Late 2022 might even see some discounts!

All 6 of my Vettes, starting with a 1988 have been built to my specifications, "Just For Me" in Bowling Green. Frankly with all the options available, exterior and interior colors, 3 levels of interior options (with wide range of cost and features,) Z51 (and other performance options,) Front Lift, MRC, different wheels etc etc can't understand folks who buy what the sales manager at a dealer thinks someone will like! BUT that's from an old gearhead!

The dealer represents the customer's EXPERIENCE with General Motors.
Guess what? People have families, friends who buy OTHER cars. They have LOTS of choices.
Some folks have a distorted view of business that's it's all max profit for now and the hell with the future.
