Default Basic information request

Hello, I am newly minted lowly doctor.
Looking to buy a C8. Have been lurking here for some time.

If I put a deposit down with either MacMulkin or Kerbeck, when am I looking at delivery?
Follow up question: I am in Florida. How would I get my car from the above two (how much is that additional fee)?

Thank you for your time.

You are looking at about 9-12 months wait if you were to go with either of them. You are guaranteed your C8 at MSRP though. I placed my initial deposit on July 2020 at Kerbeck. They have been really easy to work with, and you can do everything over email/phone (MacMulkin is same).

You can do courtesy delivery which Kerbeck or MacMulkin will help you setup with dealer near you. Not too sure about the pricing (heard it was less than $1000 though).

Based on information posted in various threads here, MacMulkin will probably be quicker as they have a lower percentage of their likely allocations already on a waiting list.

In addition to the courtesy delivery option, you can have MacMulkin ship it to you in an enclosed trailer (they do this frequently). Typically runs about $1.00 per mile. You can also do National Corvette Museum delivery, experience that and then drive it home. NCM delivery is $995.

I would give Pete Pomares at Ross Downing Chevrolet in Hammond LA a call. They are the number one Corvette dealer in the state and their waiting list may be smaller than the big three. I was 10 on their list and my order went in Nov and I'm already at 3000 with "the email" from the museum requesting my plaque information. Feeling good right about now.

You might try other top 10 Corvette sales dealerships. Must of those are at MSRP and some are closer to your location. The wait may not be 8-12 months but I suspect even other top 10 are late in 2021. Good Luck, and stay safe if you are dealing with the COVID patients.

The ideal way to buy from MacMulkin if for them to set up a "Courtesy Delivery" for you. This arranges the car to be shipped directly from the factory to a dealer, MacMulkin or you choose, close to where you live.
That Courtesy Delivery fee depends on the dealer. Can be anywhere from $250-$800. Not a big deal.

I am picking up my C8 on Jan 1 from Don Mealey Chev in Clermont, FL. Near Orlando. Good people to deal with. At MSRP.

Hello Ryan and welcome to the forum. I had the same question around Thanksgiving and after looking in to it MacMulkin was the quickest and they were estimating late summer '21. Probably still the same. I'd suggest calling Christina and she will walk you through process. I'm on lists at some local dealerships too but they only will be getting a single digit number so don't have much faith that will pan out. So I'd suggest checking with local dealers to see what their process is and if you aren't satisfied with their process and wait, go with MacMulken. If money isn't an issue, seem to be plenty for sale now with a $10k markup online from owners flipping their cars.

As Zymurgy suggested, I would research the National Corvette Museum delivery. It is an experience to remember and worth every bit of the cost. I have done two Museum deliveries and would be doing a third it it wasn't the middle of winter . MacMulkin did my last Museum Delivery and the previous was Kerbeck. Just order RPO R8C. You will be glad you did - oh and when you get home the break-in period will be over!

OP, where are you located? If in the western USA, much of that gets rail shipping and sometimes that takes 4-6 weeks in transit. Factor that in considering Courtesy delivery.

I am putting my $ 1000.00 deposit down tomorrow at Criswell , their estimate is approx 12 mos + or Minus for Gm to accept the order then 2 mos the car should be at the dealership. Looking at Feb, March 2022 and I assume it will be 2022

Courtesy delivery pricing is dependent on delivering dealer not the selling dealer. The selling dealer will help setup with delivery dealer. You would be better served in looking for a dealer near you willing to do a courtesy delivery, and negotiating the price. Then asking your selling dealer to use them.
