I know this was a major issue with the C7 but haven't heard much on this in the C8 forums. Anyone know if the headlight can be adjusted to eliminate this?
"I don’t know what the solution is" The solution is correct fitment and mounting. Like with the C7, the fact it is not universal suggests someone at assembly is doing something wrong sometimes... or, some parts are faulty and getting through. It would seem when the same (or, same appearing) issue makes it from one generation product to the next, someone isn't doing their job(s).
I'm not sure what I'm looking for. I wish the photo was larger to make it more obvious.
They are talking about the area on the bumper that is right next to & behind the light assembly. It also can happen on the bumper where it meets the front or rear fender. On the C7 and C8 there have been some examples where the paint is either peeling up from that area or you can see where the bumper is making contact with the surrounding panel or light so it chips or rubs off the paint on the bumper. the fix involvers refinishing (and repainting) the bumper and adjusting it if was making contact with the surrounding panel.
When this first cropped up, the dealers were adjusting some of the fender gaps as the bumper and the fender were not perfectly aligned and some of the headlights were putting pressure on the panels. You may be able to adjust that area to better align it if you don't want to take it back to the dealer.
