Default Corvette Mods Engine Bay Lighting

I just purchased the battery powered interior lighting kit from Corvette Mods...its a strip of LED lights about 84" long with a power pack (containing the AA batteries) at the end of the strip. Installation instructions consisted of a half sheet of paper with two photos (photo copied very dark) which were almost unreadable. Anyone have any idea the best way to install the LED strip and where a good place would be to set the battery pack? Vendor is closed until Monday and I would like to get them installed tomorrow. Thanks.

Good luck getting anything helpful from Corvette Mods after the sale. Check them out in the Transactions Feedback section. They used to be a supporting vendor here but were booted out. Maybe someone here can help you but I cannot (other than to advise you to avoid them in the future).

Ok. Good to know. I’m not dissatisfied with the product, so far, just the installation instructions have a lot to be desired.

I just ordered the exact same item and received it in the mail. How did you actually install it? I agree 100% with your assessment of the poor instruction sheet. Because the LED strip is far too long to fit in the Engine Bay because you cannot bend the LED strip around curves, so the only straight line area you have to install it on is around the area they indicate in their poor instruction sheet. But again, it's WAY TOO LONG. If I was to install it there which is only about 3 feet wide, there would be a lot of excessive strip hanging down into the Engine Bay. Also, you cannot cut the strip, so right now the item is useless.

Contacting anyone at Corvette MODS is a complete joke. They have no technical support for any products they sell, they don't even have a contact number or email for the companies that make the products they sell, their customer service folks you speak with are rude and never let you finish speaking; they speak over you all the time and sound as if they don't want to hear anything you have to say whether it be positive or negative feedback about the product you just purchased. They direct you to contact them via email rather than having you speak to a LIVE person. Also, don't try and get a manager/supervisor to call you or you call them, because they don't have those either. What kind of business model is this? This sounds like one shady operation.

I did contact their Returns department asking for a RMA number to return this item to them because the LED Strip DOES NOT fit in the bay, and they denied it due to their so called return policy. If one goes out to their site and actually reads what items are non-returnable, it sounds like EVERYTHING they sell is non-returnable, yet, they clearly say on their website that they want you "to be 100% satisfied". So this completely baffles me because due to no fault of my own, when I ordered this Engine Bay LED Lighting for the 2020 Corvette, I was expecting it to fit, not be too large that it won't fit, therefore I am stuck with a product that is uninstallable.

This is by far the worst shopping experience I have ever had and I would tell everyone to STAY AWAY from Corvette MODS

Anyone buying from a vendor or even another member should review the Transactions Feedback section. In this particular case, you'll find plenty of negative feedback on Corvette Mods.

I never even knew that existed. Thank you for pointing me to that.
