Default Backordered LPO Accessories

I understand C8 deliveries are being delayed because LPO accessories are backordered.

For those of you affected by this, do you know how long these delays are?

This is a VERY SORE subject and just ridiculous what we and our customers are going through....the wait is LOOOOONG.
This needs to stop and be addressed immediately, not fair to our customers...

I could go on...but this is not the place to do so

Been waiting for floor mats and splash guards for about two weeks. My dealer is 170 miles from my home so it is not easy to go back just for them, however I finally decided to pick my car up tomorrow. 17 months and I want my car. LOL

Conti has them ALL! Don't listen to him. He has a warehouse full of splash guards and side rocker covers. Funny I mis spelled warehouse and the spell checker was trying to substitute it with whorehouse!

I picked up my C8 at the NCM on 12/1/20, missing LPO items were, premium floor mats, splash guards, illuminated sill plates, exposed carbon fiber front grill inserts, carry bag for transparent top, red engine cover, and maybe a couple other things...... Shane said they would be shipped to my dealer who is in Utah, but I live in New Orleans, and the the dealer will have to turn around and ship them to me. ( they won't ship them direct to the car owner) But as of this morning the dealer has not received anything........frustrating

I know it's easier to get some of these items when ordering the car but as far as Floor mats, rocker extensions, splash guards, and even the trident wheels it might be better to not order them with the car and get them after. Might even be able to get them cheaper but why hold up the car for these items. That's what I am doing. The Trident wheels were available through accessories at 25% off MSRP and have them delivered to your dealer so no shipping costs. That's a $1000 less than ordering with the car. That deal is all over now but I'm just saying.

My car was delivered to the dealer on 12-4-2020 and none of the LPO parts have been delivered. I ordered the car in July, 2019 and my dealer is frustrated and cannot get an eta from GM. It is full on winter where I live and since this car is not a daily driver another week or month is not a big deal now. I never imagined a car I ordered in 2019 would be delivered in 2021!

I’m glad I ordered everything myself, it would stink to be waiting on delivery of the car over a few LPO items. It’s quite a bit cheaper too, but you have to do your own install, the factory prices include installation. I enjoy little projects like those so it’s a win-win for me.

That being said, I hesitated on the splash guards, I have everything else I wanted. I’ll just get the splash guards once they become available again, hopefully in a month or two.

I have the opposite problem. I purchased and have my floor mats, engine cover, high wing, side rockers, front splitter and custom wheels with the anticipation of receiving my 2020 C8 that never happened. Finally went to 3000 status a couple of weeks ago for my 2021 C8. It has been a long journey for many of us.

After taking delivery of my car on 12/18/2020, I ordered the OEM Edge Red engine cover from an online Chevy parts house. Installed it a week ago. I had also ordered the splash guards the same way, but about a week before the car arrived. Had the dealer install them before delivery.

Splash guards go hand in hand in a whorehouse.

I am disgusted GM is even allowing this to happen, time to put a fire under someone, do something, beyond embarrassing

I have had latest clients stop ordering accessories...no reason cars sit for weeks upon weeks after arrival to the store to do our final prep for them, just no reason

I started this post when I was told by my dealer that my car had arrived, but the LPO accessories had not.

Interestingly, the rocker panel extensions and engine cover came in 3 days after my car arrived.

Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised.

I had a similar issue, did not bother to order splash guards since i figured id just get them at the dealer... car came in january, and there were no splash guards to be had. I ended up going aftermarket just to grt some on the car. They also removed the sill plates from my order. I just found a set of them and will add them once i get the car out of the garage...
