Default Delivery

I placed an order with KERBECK for a 2021 C8 coupe 2 LT red mist back in July 2020. Still at 1100 status as of 1/12/2021.
Anyone having similar delivery concerns?

It is because they did not match your order with an allocation. They are around 650s in their list as of December allocation. When you placed your initial deposit, what number were you in the list?

Placed my order 5/2/20 and went 3300 with a TPW last week. My list number was 606, mine is torch red 2LT HTC. They seem to be moving a little quicker lately and you should be moving towards production shortly.

You had a slight delay as well because you had red mist. They just started building those the last couple of weeks.

When I picked up my 2021 on January 12, 2021, order originally place in August 2019, the salesperson mentioned that it was now about a 10 to 12 month wait from time of deposit. Good luck. You'll love it.

I still have not heard anything form my dealer and now we have the shutdown due to worldwide semiconductor shortage (I can't blame the dealer or GM for this).
I am getting really concerned that I may not get my car til sometime this summer or later. At that point,I may be bumping up close to 2022 model year. In that case, do I just wait it out for the 2022?

The good news is that you went with a huge Corvette store, with real, legitimate allocation (lots of allocation). There are a lot of people on this forum waiting 18 months or more with smaller dealers, who truly will never see their cars (or who will be asked to pay a surprise up charge). Hang in there, I am in a similar boat as you, and have been learning quite a bit about patience. Good luck...

Although I did not hear directly from Kerbeck, I noticed today on their daily order status update chart that I have now been listed as 2000 status on my 2021 C8 order.
Does anyone know what the typical timeline for 2000 status to delivery is?

Kind Regards,
GK

You'll be 3000 by this Wednesday. Once you get to 3400 you can get your TPW (Target Production Week). There has been nothing "typical" about the C8 production timelines so far with multiple COVID-19 related supply chain issues that have shut down Bowling Green Assembly Plant on 5 occasions already (including the last 2 weeks). Build to delivery is also very dependent on where it is being shipped to. If western half of the US, it goes by rail which adds weeks to the delivery process. If it's being delivered to Kerbeck, shipping will be pretty quick as they have full trucks going there regularly.

Typical doesn't really apply in the COVID madness. Based on previous cars, it seems like you would expect delivery in late April, maybe early May. I think if you plan on end of April you will be safe, and you can be pleasantly surprised if it comes early. As with all of us, the real wait starts once you hit 3000 status . Best wishes with the new ride!!

Usually it does not stay at 3000 for a month, but due to shutdowns (2 weeks in Feb and 1 week in March), they are still making C8s from Jan allocations. I am at 3000 as well (Feb allocation). Shane from NCM said my expected TPW is 4/26 (subject to change if there is any other shutdowns). I am just hoping to receive it by end of May the latest, but we should have had earlier TPW for Feb allocations if there were no shutdowns.

If you are at a 3000, your car WILL be built. The only thing that could affect that is a natural disaster or a pandemic (okay, I mean a new pandemic, or a flare up of the old one, or.....) Yes, your car will be built...

At 3000 you should be fine.
I'm still at 1100 and hoping for an August/September delivery.

Ehh don't worry... I was in Feb allocation just like you, and I am at 3000 as well. They are just finishing up building c8s from Jan allocations so we are up next. I would say our c8s will be built by mid May assuming there are no more shutdowns.
