I know this is a little premature and a tough question to answer but I was thinking of placing my order this weekend on my C8. Already spoke to the dealer and they stated 12 months but I thought that was pretty fast. I was thinking its probably going to be 2022 but whats the best guess for order placed to delivery? Im in no rush as Im very content with my cars right now but of course can always be improved.

Then you are in the minority. Their answer seems pretty standard.

My Brother in Law caught the right timing. I hooked him up with a dealer who had plenty of allocations anticipated VS committed, mid October 2020 for his initial deposit. He was #11 on the list. As one person backed out, and another couldn't make up their mind, his order was the last one accepted and entered mid November (spot #9). His car was built last Friday and is supposedly on the truck now.

Pretty quick....... Mid October from the start to Mid/ Late January for delivery.

A lot of factors with your question as it is dependent on the dealer that you go with and how many allocations they get and how many are already said for. For the most part, 12 months looks reasonable and about right for most instances (this would put you in a 2022). If you call around the country to small dealers, you may find one that has an allocation available that you may get it sooner.

Yes, he said 2022. I was just wondering if 1 year was realistic. He said they have the allocations and are taking orders.

MM stated an order going in now may be fall of this year. But, not counting on it - especially with the unknown unknown risk-like chip shortages and whatever.
