Default Kerbeck

All right hearing all the negatives on dealers and dealership experiences. Let me talk about a positive.

I just delivered my second vette with Amoni at Kerbeck saturday. Honestly, I was in and out within 30 minutes. (Note, as a true forum member I reviewed the you tube manual videos and knew just about everything I needed to know, so delivery could be quick). The OnStar on boarding was the most arduous process, while working on the call at teh dealership I was bluetoothing my phone and programming the radio as well as mymode setting. Quick trip with the finance office to sign where needed and purchase the wheel protection (Glad i did this with the c7 as I needed 7 replacement rims for cracking) - zero pressure to buy wheel protection or extend warranty etc truly a wonderful process. (Usually after meeting with the finance department at a dealership you feel like you've been undercoated.) The car was delivered perfectly prepped which is amazing as it only came off the truck 20 hrs prior and off production line 7 days before that. How do they do this??????

Im loving this car -used it for my morning commute today rides solid as if on rails - break in can't come fast enough.

Btw I do advise strongly to consider Kerbeck as your dealership Im hooked

Pretty much mimics my delivery experience a couple of weeks ago. Kudoes to Sam, the finance guy and prep people.

Glad you where happy but I would NOT have been pleased. The dealer gets 150 I believe for signing you up to OnStar and you mention that was the worst part. Did they offer you a drink, where the seats comfortable in the offices. You mention you connected your phone, radio, etc. I think a good experience would have been they did for you while you where doing paper work. Did they give you a free gift, walk you around dealership. Introduce you to the Service Manager or who will be your SE. Did the GM give you his cell phone in case you have an issue some day. Did they offer to take a picture of you and your new corvette. I sounds like a a big NO....so I would not have been impressed...but again glad you are pleased.

When ever I talk to someone who bought a extended service contract or wheel protection from Kerbeck, ( every time), I am always in shock how much they were OVERCHARGED by Kerbeck as compared to the other dealers like MacMulkin.

Once the excitement wears off, your migraine tension headache will start to set in, once you realize how much you overpaid for the wheel protection.

Others taking delivery from Kerbeck tell me that Kerbeck is selling identical term GMPP extended service contracts for $3500 that McMulkin is selling for $1500. WOW !! talk about throwing cash into the toilet.

Best wishes.

Id lay on a bed of nails while they shouted obscenities at me and threw hot coffee on me as long as I got to drive away in my C8 Corvette instead of continuing to wait an eternity without having a clue within a 6 month window when I'll get the car!!!

Businesses need to make money. I will give them five minutes of my time for them to get the fee for onstar, who cares? As far as the rest....they will order you in lunch if you want it. Drinks, no problem. Comfy chairs, plenty of them. Free gift comes to your house from them, frankly a nice touch and unexpected. Yes they will walk you around, do introduce you to the service team(unless you live far away and wont use it or specifically tell them otherwise).
The fine folks there do everything they can to make it pleasant, however they also respect the time of their customers and will use as little as possible if thats how you want it.

to go a step further, i have purchased from them in the past, but This time i did not, as i waited to place a deposit and was too late. I went somewhere else who had an allocation, BUT i stopped by Kerbeck to look at colors, options, etc. I made it clear when i walked in that I ordered elsewhere and guess what, they STILL gave me undivided attention, answered questions, offered to open one up for me to sit inside( i declined out of respect to the new owner), and treated me like gold. IMHO, They deserve to be acknowledged from time to time.

Thank you for pointing this out. There are soooo many dealerships out there that work hard every day to earn your business, employs your neighbors, pays taxes, support local schools, charities, sports, infrastructure. May care for your local police vehicles, fire equipment etc...

no bag on kerbeck, sounds like a trip to walmart, you got the blue light delivery

I also live in Jersey so Kerbeck was the obvious choice since I only live 80 miles away from dealership. And the fact that they are the top dealer didn't hurt either. lol I also have Amoni as my salesman and have found he is very responsive it I send him an email with a question. Also I have visited the dealership a couple times to look at cars and took wife once and son once and he always come over to say hi even though I try not to bother him because I know he is busy. As far as service contracts, rim protection plan and financing haven't talked to him about them yet. Think I still have a couple months before car is built. Interesting to hear about rim cracking though, wondering if those are the factory rims (silver) that come with car or different rims. Anybody??

Sounds like a great experience. I emailed Kerbeck a few months ago about putting a deposit down for a Z06 and was told by Dave Salvatore they are not take deposits on them currently as they will wait until the reveal. Was this information accurate? Thanks in advance

Are you frickin kidding me? Kerbecks people are the best (number 1 for a reason)!

I have been buying Mercedes Benz vehicles for 30 years! Even the best Benz dealers would not live up to your expectations! By the way, on my current daily driver (2019 MB S63 AMG) the Benz dealership had trouble with signing me up for Mercedes Me Connect and that was the worst part of that particular delivery.

Dave Salvatore and Amoni (my salesperson) have been great and very responsive.

I'm going to answer this as I purchased 2 Vettes so far from Kerbeck and was very impressed.

Did they offer you a drink, where the seats comfortable in the offices?
In my case, my appointment to pick up my first car was right around lunch time. They didn't just offer me a drink, they bought me lunch. Now I don't expect that they buy everyone lunch who shows up around noon, but Sam, my salesman offered and I accepted. As far as seats being comfortable? I wasn't moving in or staying overnight, it wasn't a hotel. I was sitting in my new car learning how to use the gadgets and settings more than sitting in their offices and the seats in my new vette were very comfortable. For my first vette delivery, I spent more time walking around and looking at all of the vettes they had on display than sitting my salesman's office.

Walk you around dealership. The first time I ever visited Kerbeck...I asked for "the tour". They showed me everything, Service area, Car detailing area, the different lots and showrooms they keep their cars, the whole shebang because I wanted to see the areas. However, part of the reason I love Kerbeck is that they offer what the customer wants. They even let me record the arrival of my car on the car carrier and watch them unload the car. Had I wanted to be walked around the dealership and spend another hour of my life there each time I visited, they would have been happy to. I for one, am the type of person that doesn't want to spend any more time in a car dealership than absolutely necessary. I came to pick up my new car, see how any new gadgets work in the car, sign the necessary paperwork and drive away in record time. Kerbeck is good at accomplishing my goal of keeping it short and sweet and not making buying a car a 6 hour ordeal that I've had at previous car dealerships. However, if you want the "dog and pony" show...they will certainly be glad to provide it for you as they did with my first Corvette delivery.

Did they give you a free gift? Actually they did. Much to my surprise, shortly after I purchased my car, a tin of cookies arrived at my home. Not expected and it was a nice gesture.

Introduce you to the Service Manager or who will be your SE. Did the GM give you his cell phone in case you have an issue some day. Did they offer to take a picture of you and your new corvette.

They did offer to take a picture, I declined. I have the GM's cellphone and email on my smartphone as well as Sam Kelly's cellphone number and email address and I do not abuse it. Dave Salvatore's email is on this forum for anyone to contact him as well. I was also introduced to the service manager when I asked for the tour the first time I purchased a car. So the answer to all of your questions is YES, but because I wanted to, not because I was forced to.

Regarding On Star. Other than the free trial, I didn't want it. It's a required part of a new car purchase so you need to talk to them and I declined everything. Off the call in a few minutes.

My last two, a 2017 Grand Sport and my C8 were Courtesy Delivered from Bowling Green to a small Chevy Dealer 30 miles from my home- Great Dealer Owner, Service Manager and Corvette trained Tech who is the only one who touches any Corvette for anything! They were surprised they had zero paperwork to do as Sam Kelley and folks at Kerbeck took care of all paperwork with the State DMV. Not easy with Covid as can't get answers over the phone. Kerbeck sent me a temp license plate and they arranged to get the C8 registered with SC and have my SC Plate mailed to me from the State Capitol. 5 Stars!

Hmm, I was treated fine in Atlantic City when I picked up my 1988 Vette. But what you are asking sounds like you have never been there! Heck with all those Casinos, expected a cleaned up town from when I went to watch the "Diving Horse" on the Steel Pier! No Way- It's No Los Vegas! If you look at a map, it's some distance from Philadelphia and the populated cities in NJ. Doubt they have a lot of customer's traveling that far for after sales service- although I'm sure they are very competent! Did a great job on my C6 Prep in a short time as I wanted to get on the road for my 500 mile trip!

Yep driving through those million acres of NJ Pinelands remined me of going to the Drag Races back-in-the-day. Looks like the Drag Strip is still there!

I was looking to take delivery on a car I ordered in Nov of 2019. I didnt need a cup of coffee or a comfy chair, I wasn't there long enough. I also didnt need them to sync my phone, I know the salesman would have done it as he did with my first purchase. I just used the OnStar on boarding time to do those tasks. As to the wheel insurance - I drive and work in NYC, its not an option not to get it, The last car used 6300$ of rims as well as 2 tires- all covered. BTW there really wasn't much sitting around finance took 5 minutes I never even sat in the salesman office- I sat in the car which is where I really wanted to be anyway..

I wont be going there for service, that would be geographically ridiculous and hence I dont need to meet the service department - I guarantee Amoni would have taken me there and not sure they're even there on a Saturday late afternoon.

McMulkin is 3 and half hours away- AC 2 ;15, That's three hours of my life i got to keep.

Really Dave if those things are important to you I would go elsewhere- Let me know if they'll get your car in a week and prep if for delivery in 24 hrs. Im guessing youll need the comfy chair while your waiting. Im sure McMulkin is capable, and honorable as well but just not convenient for me.

Im into expediency, convenience, and cost savings. I cannot trust the two local dealerships and the reason I went Kerbeck 3 years ago is that the local dealer wanted 2k over sticker to order a GS in 2018, I called Kerbeck and in 20 min over the phone I was 8K understicker and ordered the same car. The local service is abominable and I outsourced my wheel replacements as both locals didnt have the equipment. Ordering local not an option and they didnt have any comfy chairs and doubt they would give me change for their soda machine. Also in regard to local dealer service, my first free oil change took 4 hours as they realized they didnt have dexos 2 after they drained it.

Instead of a drink, feast over this video of eye candy at Kerbeck.

Default Kerbeck experience

I can also attest to a very positive experience with Kerbeck ( sales rep Amoni), ordered in July 2019 and picked up Sept 1, 2020. I am over three hours away, and did all the paperwork through email, picked up the car and everything went smoothly. Amoni kept one of the Corvette booklets for me. Would recommend them (and the car) to anyone.

I had a great experience @ Kerbeck all around, Despite the 16 month wait.
My salesman was great too (Ron Micheal Jr.)
Delivery took less than 1 hr. including meeting with the finance guy.

Kerbeck has to move 4-5 Corvette PER DAY to get rid of their yearly allotment.

At that pace, they have no time to chit chat, that is why you are out in one hour.
