Default Changing a C8 Order

I am interested in any experience in changing a C8 order at the 2000 status. My order rolled to 2000 about 10 days ago. I had been considering adding a simple option, the black side mirrors/spoiler (the $100 option, not carbon fiber). Of course the concierge recommends not making changes at 2000, but seems like a simple change assuming the parts are available. Any actual experience with a change?

My dealer was able to add Magnetic ride while at 2000. Contact them ASAP.

You can still change at 2000 but do it ASAP

If you were at 2000 10 days ago, you are most likely at 3000 by now. Last weeks orders went 3000 yesterday.

I added front lift at 2000. The dealer said it went through but I hope it didn't slow things down. Every time I change my order at a restaurant something goes wrong. Hopefully it won't be the case with this

Changing an order at 2000 is possible, but it may push your order down in the queue, and delay production.

Normally, no. However, during 2020 production due to the very long delays between 3000 and 3300 some changes were allowed. That very long delay no longer exists, so probably no changes at 3000 anymore.

Of course during this one week pause in manufacture, a change at 3000 could be possible...

Thanks for all of the responses. I checked last night and it had indeed rolled to 3000, so less than 2 weeks at 2000. It a problem. I like it the way I ordered it.

My car is at 3000. Under regular circumstances how much longer will it take to get built?
