It'll work.

A lot better than Torch Red over Bolero Red.

OTOH, I don't care for two-tone seats.

No. It's not available to 1LT. Over rides are reserved for certain color combinations. Has nothing to do with two-tone seats. GM offers this as people who wish to push the edge in matching color combinations such as picking an Orange car with Tension blue seats. GM has all these constraints in color combos like this but you can override these color constraints at your own peril. Seems the color seats available to 1LT buyers would work with most C8 exterior colors. From a 1LT perspective you are limited to only solid color seating as long as it is either Black, Red, or Grey. You're also limited to either Competition of GT1 seats. There may be over rides available for a 1LT such as ordering a Accelerate Yellow car with Adrenaline sears would probably require an over ride.

Could you be more specific about the color combination you are interested for a 2LT? I assume you are asking whether if can you get a two-tone seat with a Competition seat??? Do I understand you correctly?

You can only get Two Tone seats with GT2 seats. See notes in pic below. GT2 seats are only available to 2LT and 3LT trim.

When I saw the Orange C8, with the Yellow seat belts
......I then realized "all was lost."

From the pics, I think the colors will go OK together - but would really like to see the combo in person.

At the end of the day it’s your money. Who cares what anyone thinks? It will be fine as ordered. Pictures don’t do a lot of colors justice.

Folks posting about the color override....that’s just a gm money grab. There is no basis for GM to do that...... the various seat colors are just sitting on the assembly line to install.

I trust Rick. Don't put much faith in anecdotes.

Once upon a time I did too.......and that's no fairy tale..................

I am ordering my C8 in Torch Red 2LT coupe with adrenaline red two tone interior and GT1 seats. Build says I must upgrade to the GT2 seats to get the two tone interior so that's what I did is changed to GT2 seats. But after reading this post for some reason I thought I could use the override option to get the two tone option on the GT1 seats. But you explained to me that the override option is for changing out interior colors beyond what they offer based on exterior colors. So now I understand. What got me confused is the build in this post has only the two tone seats (blosters red only) where as my build has the two tone seats along with the console and door arm rests in red. So I thought the OP used the override option to get only the seats two tone. But then OP stated his is the 3LT so that must be the difference. I appreciate your input and trying to help but I get it now. Thanks!
