Just curious, but why would you pay the extra cost for the trailer versus paying the $$$ for a courtesy delivery?
For me, I don't have a dealer in the entire metro area I want receiving the car. I prefer just receiving at my driveway.
As far as cost justification - I compare the $2295 I am paying to a museum delivery which I first chose. The cost of that would have been more than the $2295 with my wife going to the museum with me. So in a way, I saved money and time albeit at the cost of seeing the museum, but with Covid, a lot of that is not available anyway.
Eventually I will need to pick one of these local dealers to service any warranty work, but that is a much lesser evil than their sales departments.

PM me with your location and maybe I can help you find an AZ dealer to service your car when it arrives. I've done 2 Intercity deliveries to my front door but I plan to do a courtesy delivery this time, assuming my servicing dealer will accept it.

OK thanks! I'm still out a ways yet, but as I get closer I'll ping!
Who does MacMulkin use for enclosed carrier to send out corvettes throughout the USA?
MacMulkin will contact Intercity for you if you give them the go ahead to use them. Intercity will then contact you and set it up. Have done it twice with MacMulkin/Intercity and it was perfect!

possible six week delay due to rail delivery to any western dealers. Some times it is less but some times the cars sit at the shipping point and then at the receiving end until the railroad is ready to move them.
So if I am getting my car from MacMulkin but have them setup a courtesy deliver. The car goes to MacMulkin first and then gets on a rail to the courtesy dealership?

No, the car is delivered directly to the dealer doing the courtesy delivery.

Had my C7 and will most likely have my C8 shipped from MacMulkin to Florida. What I saved in dealer fees (Florida) and the cost of courtesy delivery pretty much will pay for the transport (Intercity) and car showed up in pristine condition.
