Well, I ordered my 2021 today. went with Z51 package. Torch Red. Natural GT2/ tan seat belts. Body colored accents, Chrome badging and red engine cover. Added front lift (needed for my driveway) and no Mag ride. Battery protection. Bright Red Calipers. Can't wait! Thanks for all your suggestions. The "Well" is just so deep. Thx, Sully

Since you have a c7 grand sport then go test drive a standard c7.

the differences you notice between your c7 grand sport and the standard c7 will be the information to decide which model or options you want for the c8.

good luck.

i drove both the c8 standard stingray and the c8 z51 fe4 model that Ive driven for 4k mikes so far.

Took me less than five minutes to tell the differences
would you mind elaborating a bit more on the differences between the Z and non Z. I’m not concerned with a Cadillac type ride but in buying a non Z with MRC and hoping the MRC will turn the suspension into the cornering ride I am seeking. Non track but definitely a vette.

The Z51 is 25% stiffer. Bigger springs and bars. You also get the ediff and bigger brakes. With the mag ride it goes from a nice GT ride to a planted platform in track mode. The steering also stiffens nicely in the track mode. Mine is a Z51, and the change due to the MRC is quite large.

Alrighty, I drove 3 hours to the Van Bortel dealership in Rochester N.Y. When I walked in the front door, I was confronted with two Red Mist C-8's. I was mesmerized by the color. As I walked the "showroom" I saw about 15 new c8's (various colors) ready for delivery. All sold of course. I walked past a Torch Red c8 and parked next to it was another Red Metallic. I was sold at that very moment on a color change. I finally met with Matt, my salesman, and introduced myself. Matt spent some time with me explaining where I was in the process. I asked about a color change and he said "Today is the last day for any changes" I then told him I needed to change my color to Red Mist. I'm so happy my wife encouraged me to actually drive out. I'm sure I made the right choice after seeing the Red Mist in person. Matt was both friendly and encouraging and never rushed the process. Thanks Matt F.

If you ever take another trip to VanBortel and want company to talk Corvettes on the ride there from Amsterdam (Thruway exit 27) and back let me know. I have never been to VanBortel but would love to visit their dealership.

Thank you all for your contributions. I'm still uncertain Z51 vs. Non Z51. No, I don't track my cars. But, I do like the looks of the Z51 spoiler. I sold my 2019 GS A8 late last year. What about the performance exhaust.? I'm thinking no on MAG. Am I wrong in my thinking? We plan on doing Rt. 66 as soon as "We" (USA) open up. Love the body colored accents and chrome badging. Standard rims are good with me. LT2, yes. Interior color? I had black in the GS, After window tint, it seemed like a black hole. Caliper's, Bright Red? Engine cover Red? I could paint that after I take delivery. Yes, I'm looking to save a few $$$ if possible. Gov. Cuomo requires 8% sales tax here in this God forsaken State. Thanks for your time and opinions. Sully
Torch red, I'd do black with red stitching, or black red stitching/ red seats. Just my personal opinion.

Lots of other stuff will work to. I'd do the Mag ride for sure. Just buy a wing off here there is a million for sale.
