I've just ordered and received my set of Carbotech 1521 brake pads. Waiting for my garage to warm up to installing these. Got 5" additional snow today instead !!!

For a high quality low dust performance street brake pad I recommend taking a look at the Carbotech 1521 brake pad 100% non-corrosive dust will not harm your wheels, paint or rotors. Carbotech brake pads are 100% made in the USA and contain NRS Technology Here is a link to explain further what NRS technology is exactly: http://www.nrsbrakes.com

The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

I've had the Carbotech's on my Z06 for a little over a year now. Zero issues and as far as I can tell, stop just as well as the factory pads. Nearly zero brake dust, so that alone was worth it for me. I'll certainly buy them again when needed.

Another vote for Carbotech 1521 pads. Had them on my C7 Z51 and they were great. Very similar pedal feel to stock, and extremely low dust. Highly recommended!

I have had the G-LOC GS1 pads on my Z51 since delivery ! Same compound as the Carbotech but lower price! (sourced at KNS Brakes). Only slightly less performance than stock pads and almost zero dust!

I put the Centric semi-metallic Posi Quiets on my C6 Z06 and the dusting was very, very low. Rotor wear was practically nonexistent. The good thing... all four corners were obtained for under 90 bucks! Centric lists them for the C8, Z51 and regular model but due to Covid they have not been released yet. I'm waiting for them myself. Avoid the "Corvette tax" of other manufacturers!! $300 and up for brake pads is totally ridiculous!!

Yep, feel the same, had on my 2014 Z51, 2017 Grand Sport and now my C8. This is my detailed install Pic/Long Caption PDF: http://netwelding.com/Ceramic_Pads.pdf

It covers the first big decision with the C8, jack up very high to remove the caliper or as I did and show installing pads with calipers in place. But that risks damaging the piston dust boots when removing the front pads held on to the pistons with very strong two sided "brake tape."

PS: PDF also includes why after trying cheap Chinese pads on my GS I tossed them after 900 miles because of inferior performance compared to OEM and Carbotech, made in US pads. BTW they sell pads for many cars and 6+ race pad compounds for race cars etc for the same or a higher price. It's a $75,000+ car worth more than ~$100 for the best stopping performance than cheap, made in China pads, IMO. I show technically why they are better and quote posts from 5+ forum members who found the same.

I put Power Stop on my Z51 C7. No dust or noise. Stopped great.
