Default Question for HTC owners

Having not yet seen one in person, is the top design condusive to GM possibly offering a glass roof at some point in time much like the Mercedes SL?

If you want to see up, put the op down. Glass tops have way too many issues.

Seems possible to me - if it's not too heavy

First off, none of the roofs are "glass." The translucent roof is plastic. And light enough that GM could make the front part of the HTC out of translucent plastic if they wanted to. Will they? Doubtful, I think. But there's no technological reason they couldn't. The sides would need some sort of liner to hide the mechanism, that's all.

There’s no reason why it can’t be mostly transparent but the sides will be solid where the mechanism hides. Don’t let anybody tell you it can’t be done. Will they offer it, probably not.

Actually, when I said like the Mercedes SL, I meant like the SL which is glass and can turn opaque when an electric current is applied to it.
