Default Tracwrap

Thinking of installing this on my car from MM to my home in Connecticut. Do not really care what it looks like just want to make sure it comes off with no problems, would probably be on for 2-3 hours. Did anyone use this and did you have any problems taking it off (Residue or paint problems).

I used Tracwrap from the NCM for a 1500+ mile road trip home. Left it on until I could have PPF installed (a couple of weeks total). Xpel Dallas removed the Tracwarp with no problems. Read about it and see pictures here: My C8 Experience - Updated with Xpel, Ceramic Coating and Tint

I just got back from a 300 mile trip where I used it driving through some about 50+ miles of very speedy canyon roads... and it worked terrifically. It stopped several road chips from getting to my paint. Of course the one small area I missed, I got a tiny little chip. Totally worth it!

Works great when installed properly and not flapping loose........
I just drove my new C8 over 500 miles home and have major damage to the hood where some worked lose and was flapping up and down on the hood and apparently picked up debri that embedded in the unstuck part and basically had the effect of a tiny ball peen hammer on my hood.....

My fault for not installing so that none got lose and not pulling over til first stop and noticing and pulling all the hood film off.

Take your time and layer the hood top down, and do not let any flap lose. I learned my lesson and now need paint correction done, and hope it is not deep enough to not correct. I initially thought it was just the glue remnant as I removed the film, not so, I effed up and have damage now.

Did you work from the backmost part of the hood towards the front overlapping the Tracwrap? This puts the leading edge under the piece in front and prevents lifting/flapping. Also, did you use the plastic tool to press the Tracwrap onto the surface to get good adhesion? Here's mine after 1500+ miles:

I put it on and was pretty sloppy with it. I wish I did a better job but I did not have the patience. I had it on for several weeks awaiting PPF. I had flapping pieces but did not have any damage. I only drove it around for about a hundred miles but I also had to deal with the frozen weather here in WI. It all survived without issue. Came off no problem once it was inside the installers shop for a few minutes.

Just add a little soap to some water on car first, no problem coming off.
