I am looking at doing some Mods and was going to add the extra 2 quarts of DCT fluid while the airbox was removed. I am only at 600 miles and wondered - Will I lose alot of the extra 2 quarts at my 7,500 DCT filter change? I know most say they change the filter and only a little fluid is lost and then they add about a half quart back but happens if you already added the extra 2 quarts? Should I wait?

I changed the filter and lost no more than 4 oz. I believe they say you should add 2 qts or 2 liters. I added 2 liters so I'm about 3 oz to the good. Lost 4 oz gained 3 oz.
I'm good to go.
With the added 2 qts the DCT holds 435 oz so 1 or 2 oz. short won't be a concern.

Loosing just 4-6 oz's on a DCT filter change. Would recommend having a non dealer Vette mechanic add 2 quarts to the already under filled DCT.
Me, did so at 1300 miles, now have 4200 my C8 and shifts perfect. Also at that time changed the DCT filter @$198 plus the 2 quarts running @$85.
Just before the 7500 mark don't miss the dealer who does the free oil/filter and change the DCT filter for free service.
Be ready for the, "you only need to add the 2 additional quarts if tracking crowd". Anyway why would you not fill to the max line on any fluids? Slightly decreased fuel economy and the DCT never get's that hot temperature arguments, how about summer high heat and +1 G's cornering factor.
I know without the extra 2 quarts people are losing only 3-4oz when they change the filter. I'm wondering is- if I add the extra 2 quarts will it cause me to lose more than the normal 3-4oz at filter change as the fluid would be higher with the extra 2 quarts?

No it won't. The fluid has to be pumped into the filter. I had the extra 2 liters in mine when I changed the filter. Lost 4 oz.

Can you fill the new filter to reduced the net fluid loss or was the 4 oz. net of filling the filter? (like filling the oil filter prior to installing it)

No. It is not like the old Chevy V8s were you removed a canister. On the DCT you remove the bottom plate of the housing. You could maybe soak the filter overnight and maybe gain an oz.
If I were you I would add the extra 2 quarts now and not worry about the few ounces you lose when they do the DCT filter change. You might let them know NOT to top it up when they change the filter though. If they open the side fill to add back the couple of ounces lost in the filter change, your extra 2 quarts will drain out!
^^^ Hmm, NOPE- YOU'LL LOSE 4 TO 6 OZ! BUT 6 oz in 64 extra oz is only ~10% of the "EXCESS" added if NOT Tracking! Frankly if not Tracking why worry about 64 oz OVER the designed amount? BUT if you do, should not worry about 6 to 10% less!
See no reason if your not tracking to add "extra" fluid. It's NOT underfilled. The standard level mark IS the standard fill. That is where the check level plug is located! Remove it after you add 64 oz extra and it all pours out when you "check the level!" The filter housing, as someone mentioned, has a bottom cover!
To add the extra, excess fluid have to remove the truck liner and complete air filer assembly. Then add in a plug on top of the DCT! Not easy and NOT NEEDED unless Tracking. DCT fluid will take longer to reach proper temp and as Tadge mentioned it will result in slightly lower mpg! More and higher level fluid being "pumped" by the many DCT gears is a waste. It does no good if not continually in high "g" turns where fluid will be pushed to one side. (Note in a 1 "g" turn it's like tilting the car 45 degrees!)
BUT your car, your money do as you wish! I'm happy with the 11.6 quarts at the check fluid level. Don't see a need for 13.6 quarts or worry if the Tech does not add the ~5 oz that comes out with the filter and I ONLY have 11.1 quarts!
Filter is number 19! Cover is cut off in this pic.
