Just sayin', and apologies if this is a repeat post.

Internal move underscores company's commitment to an all-electric future.
InsideEVs has learned that the Corvette Engineering team, which contains some of the top talent at the automaker, is being moved from Global Products Programs to the Autonomous and Electric Vehicles program team, which is led by Ken Morris. While this may seem like snoozy corporate machinations to some, it's actually a pretty big deal. Ed Piatek, the Corvette Chief Engineer will have a new role and title: Chief Engineer - Future Product.Perhaps more important IMO is this old Press Release that defines a plan that was to go in effect in 2017. But was stopped with a pen in January 2017. BUT we how have a new pen and it will be implemented as was planned for 2017, or something similar OR WORSE! Could be more draconian that the ~40 mpg Corvette average mpg that would have been required by law in 2025!

I own a Tesla Model 3 and love it. Didn’t buy it for the environment or politics. I purchased it because I thought it was cool. The way that I use and drive the Tesla is a totally different experience!
As a life long motorhead (cars, motorcycles, boats, motorhomes and airplane, I dread the idea of pumping gas ever again... let alone actually having to actually pay for the inconvenience of pumping gas... and handling that dirty pump in a post-COVID world.
That said, I am still looking forward to a C8 Vette as a second car!
