Top 100 dealer but not one of the big boys everyone runs to. Paying MSRP. I should have the car in May is our guess right now.

Listen to your dealer, If they're honest & up front with you they should be able to give a reasonable estimate on timing. I believe you canceled with Classic and ordered from MM who's line seems to move fairly quickly. Being honest though highly doubt you get a 2021 from them at this point, plan on it being a 2022 built sometime late 2021.
That is awesome. My deposit went to Criswell on 12/30/20. I was 798 on their list on that day. They told me their best guestimate 8 to 12 months for allocation then 2 months to the dealership. I had planned to wait 6 months before checking where I am at on the list. Hoping for a Dec. 21 delivery

Or six months like me.

I'm not bashing the big dealers but hear me out. My theory is that while the big dealers such as MM get a lot of allocations each year they also get an absurd amount of orders. Again theory here but if MM gets 900 allocations (just a number for a discussion point) a year that's great. If, and it's a big if, you're number 899 or lower on their list you're golden. But what if in reality they are gettng 2,000, or more, orders? That means if you're 901 or higher you're not getting a car for at least a year. (For the sake of simplicity I'm leaving out the potential people that decide to cancel their order and production delays).

My dealer told me he gets about 8 allocations a year. I was number two. He also told people after me that he had hit his limit and any new orders were very likely to be 2022 models. Two guys in my club saw how quick I was getting a car and went to order from the same dealer. He was up front and told them that in all probability he was done for 2021. If they wanted to get a 2022 he could help them. They got mad at him because he wouldn't order a 2021 for them. Even though he had just told them there was no way they would get a 2021 from him.

I'd rather buy from a small guy who is up front about things rather than wait 19 months to buy from a big dealer like some people on the forum are saying they have waited. Not saying the big dealers are deceptive at all but something is kind of screwy that I can go to a small dealer and get a car (a lot) faster than people who ordered from a big dealer. And at MSRP.

Nothing screwy at all. There are some dealers that don't have buyers lined up for all of their expected allocations. The problem is finding them and having them actually honor MSRP. Plenty of horror stories about small dealers that said MSRP only to spring a $10000 ADM when the vehicle arrived. The big dealers (especially MacMulkin) are absolutely totally honest about the entire process. BTW, MacMulkin's wait list is currently about 5 months to your order getting accepted by Chevy at the current allocation levels.

Didn’t say they were deceptive, just seems odd the guy a post or two above is still going to wait close a year.

It just really depends where you live. In my area, I've checked numerous dealers and my wait time would have been a year+. Many are not even taking orders as their wait list is already so long. So MacMulkin was my best option. I'm hoping for no more than a 6-8 month wait as long as Bowling Green continues to produce and there are no more shutdowns.

Lastly, I don't think anyone ordering from MacMulkin is waiting 19 months - other than the period of time due to the Covid shutdown issues in which everyone had to wait as well.

I believe a small, local dealer but I could be mistaken.

Did you pull up next to me on 100 in Palm Coast about a week ago and ask me how long it took me to get my Car ?

Don't think I can mention the dealer's name but they are a small, local dealer and only got (1) 2020 and have only gotten allocations for (2) 2021 so far. After the (1) 2020 they got I was number one on their list for over a year! It's been a long, frustrating wait as anyone on the forum can attest to all the whining and complaining I've been doing, but all's well now.

Not sure which "guy above" you are referring to, but again, there is nothing strange. It is all a question of the number of buyers versus the number of allocations for each dealer. The OP of this thread is not going to have a year wait and he just put his deposit down at MacMulkin. There is no magic either big or small dealer. Witness Broken Halo at a tiny dealer. Small dealers can get them just as quick as a big dealer but only if their wait list is proportional to their allocations. For example, being number 10 at a dealer that gets 3 per year is way worse than number 700 at a dealer that gets 1900 per year. You found a dealer that had little or no wait list but had an allocation. Good for you. There are plenty of small dealers that have wait lists that exceed their annual allocations by several times.

You can mention their name, just no contact information (not that anybody would want it).

Production for the 2021 Corvette ends in July 2021.
The z06 will be coming out in 2022, how many people would rather have a z06 over a stingray, what will that do to the value on the stingray?

Depends on the premium up-charge for a Z06. And the wait time for those who think they want one.

After 7 months of silence from my local small dealer (and a dead hvac system), I cancelled with my local dealer to get my deposit back (and cover the HVAC, or part of it). I then put an order in with MM a few weeks ago. I am in the low 700s. If they continue to get 160 allocations a month, I'll be guaranteed a July allocation. I would assume that means I will get one of the early 2022s for a late Sept delivery. Hoping things go smoothly here on - so that my wishful thinking estimate is correct.

The wait time depends very much on the dealer. I was put on a wait list at a dealer who gets four (4) corvetts per year, so I put my order in at another dealer that gets 198 corvetts per year. I put the order in October 16, 2021 and was told it will take 19 weeks. I will keep you posted.

Just hope no more tornadoes roll through Kentucky.
That could change everything, like it did for me, and maybe 100 others regarding a C8 delivery.

Talked to MM about their lists yesterday, Stingray list is at 1400 and 12 month wait (I got on their list last March at around 800-900 and will pick up next week), Z06 list is at 2000 and their guess was 4 to 5 years.

So the demand does not seem to be decreasing. Some have predicted that demand will decrease as soon as a good number of C8s are out in the wild, I predict the opposite, once non-enthusiast non-gearhead types with the means to afford a C8 actually see C8s on the street and think 'what the hell is that, I want one' they will trade in their BMW/Jag/etc and order a C8.

My example, got on with MacMulkin last March, at #747. Went to 3400, with a TPW of 12-13-21.
Now bumped back to 1100. Just a few days ago got moved to 3000 (again). Like being in Purgatory!
