My C8 built the first week of October has had a DCT problem almost from the get go. When slowing to a stop, it will automatically downshift from 2nd to 1st at about 5 MPH. Sometimes that shift is very jerky. Sometimes once at a complete stop the DCT will shift out of first into neutral and immediately a jerky shift back into first.. Also, when stopped and taking my foot off of the brake, the car will move forward. My dealer checked the fluid level which was fine. He also checked for any DCT updates for cars built since last October and there were none. So the head of the service department contacted GM and was told to do what called a transmission clean. This involved draining and replacing the fluid, cleaning all 7 solenoids, and doing what's called a fast learn to improve shift quality per TAC 21-na-033. The car was in and out of the service department yesterday. The good news is that the problem is solved!
Also, when stopped and taking my foot off of the brake, the car will move forward.
When stopped in D and you remove your foot from the brake, the car moving forward is normal (unless you pull both paddles). Are you saying your car no longer does this?

Good news because I’m having the same exact issues.

Mine had an issue at about 2,600 miles with the error "Creep temporarily disabled" or something like that exhibiting the same issue you're describing. Dealer cleaned the solenoids and it's been great since.

That's interesting. The DCT is thought to have a creep function that can't be disabled. I know mine creeps forward when I let off the brake. And other people have mentioned this.
Did they do any kind of software update?

Actually I am sorry to mislead you. Yes, the car creeps a very slight bit when I let off of the brake, but not nearly as bad as it did prior to have the "transmission clean" done yesterday.

That makes a lot more sense. The DCT will creep with no brake applied unless you pull both paddles.

Got'ya
Some people were hoping for a personalization setting to disable the creep function. Just wondering if they snuck this in.
I just purchased a 2021 Honda Pioneer 520 w/ a 5-speed DCT. It's also a true ME with engine under the passenger seat. I was surprised to learn Honda uses a DCT, while every other UTV seems to be a belt-driven CVT.
Like DCTs in cars, it shifts with paddles and you can select manual-only or automatic modes. It doesn't creep at all when in gear. Shifts are very firm and lightning fast. I wish it had been available with a manual (kidding), but it'll do it's job on my property.

That's funny, all the Honda press and brochure say the Pioneer 520 comes with an automatic transmission, not one place does it say it's a DCT. The Pioneer 1000 comes with a DCT, not the 520.

During one presentation (at the NCM 25th, IIRC), in answer to an audience question, Tadge said they deliberately programmed in a little bit of creep so the car would feel familiar to people used to a traditional automatic.
I had the same problem with a little bucking when slowing and the dealer had an update on the DCT programing. Have only driven the car a few miles since but I don't fell it anymore. The only thing they could not fix was the radio staying on for a minute or so when the car is turned off and then it turns itself off.
