I've picked up a Fumoto valve for the side fill plug of the DCT. M20 1.5 size.
https://www.fumotocanada.ca/products...in-valve-f105s

It's sitting on a table in a little plastic bag for now.

Did they fix the shock towers in 2021 models? Do we still need to buy those covers?

You will need to buy the shock tower covers. I have a 21 HTC and I installed mine about a week ago. Mine was about half full on both sides.

Unless I missed it, I didn't see anyone mention:
  • Titan extra large lug nut socket 1/2 drive x 22mm
  • 1/2 inch drive digital torque wrench
  • set of torx bits and sockets
  • trim panel removal tools
Note that the bolts on the C8 are Torx Plus, not regular Torx. A regular Torx socket might fit, but not correctly, and risks damaging the bolt head in high torque applications.

A Torx successor, Torx Plus, was introduced around 1990 when the original Torx patent was expiring. The lobes are more square to allow for higher torque and to minimize wear. The name is shortened to IP (Internal Plus) with sizes ranging from 1IP to 100IP [16] (sometimes listed as IP1 to IP100 [17]) and EP (External Plus) with sizes ranging from 1EP to 42EP as well as smaller sizes ranging from H7EP to H2EP and includes five-lobed tamper-resistant variants.[16] The specifications for these licenses are held by Textron. Standard Torx drivers can be used to drive Torx Plus screws, but not to full torque because of the loose fit. Torx Plus drivers will not fit into standard Torx screws.

Also, the C8 uses low profile Torx Plus bolt heads, and should be mated to shallow countersink EP sockets.

This is a standard EP socket:

And this a shallow countersink socket:

You can see the shallow countersink version has much more engagement area. Snap-On makes a very nice, and very expensive, set of shallow countersink EP sockets. Or, for a lot less money, you can get these from Amazon:

Amazon Amazon

I'm not sure if the C8 uses IP (Torx internal fasteners or regular torx. A regular Torx bit will fit in a Torx plus fastener, but not solidly, and won't support as much torque.

Other than a number of items already mentioned, the first priority will be winter wheels, tires and TLMS. Planning to do a "minus one" winter set up which I've done on other vehicles including our current ones.

Rear fog light - probably the same compact LED model I bought for our current vehicles from an eBay Germany seller. I'll probably have a guy in Australia (Billet Automotive Buttons) provide a custom switch - he does excellent work. Will install the switch by the HUD controls if there's clearance behind the panel.

Safety Seal plug kit, slime kit and 12V inflator unless I transfer them from a current vehicle that we may sell by the time the C8 arrives.

Modern Spare tire change kit for the C7 which should work for the C8. It includes a scissors jack and a telescoping breaker-bar style lug wrench for achieving that 140 lb. torque.

I've been "selling" the C8 to my wife as a vehicle we can use as our primary year-round travel car. She's going to be perturbed if that doesn't work out and we have to keep an extra vehicle.

There are a number of other items on my list but it's unlikely others will want most of them, e.g. folding crutches and a compact walker from Wally Mart that fit in the C8 trunk. I'll install a Hella headlight washer kit if the C8's aerodynamics don't keep the lenses from getting too cruddy. I'll buy a light duty receiver hitch from "Leroy" when he gets one on the market but won't need one until late spring 2022.

Yes, you surely can, but to me, some extra steps to connect the phone to the car for using Android Auto is too much trouble, especially when I simply need to start a navigation to any particular place after sitting in the car, I can simply speak to the phone and then pop the phone into the holder and ready to go, whereas for using the Android Auto I have have to first connect the phone, and then may have to fumble through some menu choices on screen, and sometime I found the map on the phone has fast latest updates than the map on Android Auto, and most of all, when I listen to news and music and need to change stations or browse music, the display is used for those purposes, and if I also have to use it for navigation at the same time, then more manual operations in changing between the navigation and audio displays, just too much troubles.

Good question, and as others said, it's still necessary to cover the tower to prevent water going in. I also did buy the cover that everyone has been buying from, but after I did that, I think this is an over priced item, and if I had the chance to start over it again, I will not buy that cover, but rather, simply use duct tape to cover the tower opening, with a hole in the middle and covered it by a transparent film also sealed by duct tapes to act as an observation window, so you can peek into the tower periodically to check if any water got in, and if necessary, redo the taping, which would cost less than $1. So I'd not recommend spending $60 for something you can do for $1 or less to achieve the same goal, with a better periodical observation checking feature that the plastic cover doesn't give you. I regret buying and installing that over priced hard cover.

if sill guards are on anyone's list, don't bother.....they don't work on C8s. Velcro doesn't attach to C8 carpet fibers. And most importantly, if you do decide to take a chance, don't purchase them from CorvetteMods. When I tried to return them I was told customer pays return shipping. After nearly two weeks of back and forth, I was told they've sold 300+ in the last few months with no issues. (I can almost guarantee the 300+ were NOT for C8s.)

Sill guards are the WORST. They tore up the carpets in my C7. I will not use them in my C8.

The GM Jake mats for the trunk & frunk have been delivered, although now they are available on the build site if you want to order them upfront. I’m expecting my C8 to be built in May. Any rumors of GM plans to resolve the shock tower flooding issue? If not, I’ll be joining the aftermarket tower cover club.
