Finally at 5000!

Now it’s just needs to go through PDI and get on a Plycar transport to CA. It’s getting real....

I have a Porsche Cayenne and have the same bad service with local dealer. You’d think in year round gearhead central, it would attract better people. Only good experience I’ve had on service is Tesla where the Techs are well trained and they fix it at your address and do auto OTA updates.

an Indy and knows Porsche extremely well and is brutally honest. He does his Dads Vette and I’ll be taking the C8 to him for maintenance (after the freebie).

They charged $2,000 over MSRP ( I heard it went to 5K later on), but I don't mind because otherwise I would not get one.
Just curious if I should be careful with these guys from your comments. Also anything I should watch before I get it shipped to me ?
Thanks, Mike

So when I purchased from out of state they wanted $1750 for a courtesy delivery....it was $800 to ship the car via Plycar from CO to my door (will be here next week).
Their service department is very good from what the local Corvette Club says and they have three C8 “Master Mechanics” that went to Detroit for some sort of three month training back in early 2020 before all the shutdowns.
So service, OK, Sales, NoKay based on my experience. I wouldn’t be concerned with the PDI process.....also, when you buy a car in CA, just like any State, you get a 90 day temporary plate that does not require registration. I’m paying my sales tax after I get the car and I’m good to drive it on the road as it will have CO temp plates and I will have 90 days from the purchase date to register the car in CA....but you must have insurance (yeah, like I’m going to drive this thing one inch without insurance in CA the uninsured motorist capital on the planet).
So I wouldn’t be concerned with the process of getting the car although I have no personal experience with them as far as their customer service with an ordered car, that is, how proactive they will be in keeping you informed as to status rather than you hounding them for info....Congrats on the order, can’t wait for mine to be real in a few days.

Good luck! It will arrive!
