I got my C8 a few weeks ago and it was ordered it with hash marks. The more i look at them on this car the less i like them. I want to remove them. Does anyone know if they are just stickers and i can use a heat gun on very low and get the off or have they been clear coated over. Any help with this would be great.

Reason: Left words out.
I didn't like my color of hash marks either. Nothing like the pictures. The red did not come close to matching my calipers.
Really easy to remove. Heat gun or hair dryer and they peel right off.

A hair dryer and gently warming them up should peel them off with little or no residue. Good choice BTW, I've never cared for them on any of the gens.
are the stripes also a decal or are they painted in?
Decal is not a good term. They are actually automotive paint (color and clear coat) on a vinyl substrate (this was also true on the C7 and has been confirmed by the Corvette team). Aftermarket stripes are just vinyl.
Like the look on the C7s but nope on the 8s. Made sense when they were for the GS cars but not on everything.
I purchased my new C6 Grand Sport off the lot with big fat GM hash marks and yikes, chrome wheels. I semi-tolerated both for a few years, but that entire look seems really dated now. Less is more.
