Default Seat Ventilation Problems

I have a 2020 3LT leather seats and my buddy has a 2021 3LT leather seats. The fan on the seat coolers can easily be heard on all of our seats, but no air movement coming out of the seats, driver and passenger, can be felt on either car. Is this a common problem? It is probably a pain-in-the-butt fix for I would imagine the seats would need to be taken apart.

It's not very strong. Run the seat ventilation at full blast and put your hand on it to feel it, while the car is stopped. Or see if a it blows a kleenex held over the seat perforations.

I have noticed it's quite loud. Seems to work fine though.

Mine work better than they have on other GM cars I've owned. In fact, I've frequently lowered the fan speed because I was getting too cold.

Every vented seat I’ve ever owned doesn’t feel cool at first, but gets cool after a few minutes.

Many of the cars have crappy ventilation. Our Audi and Infiniti vehicles work surprisingly well. Seats get cold, quickly. Never turned it on, while in the C8.

A trick I learned to make ventilated seats work better is to have the A/C floor vents on instead of the upper level vents. They will draw in the cooler air and in turn have the seats work better.

If I'm not mistaken, the C8 seats are not air conditioned, just vented with ambient air blowing gently on your backside, kind of like rolling down the window. My GT350 seats worked twice as good as my C8 seats but I can still feel a little relief on a hot day.

I don’t know of any seats that are actually air conditioned, otherwise you’re just inviting condensation

if the cabin temp is acclimated you won't really feel the air but if you turn the fans on and place a tissue over the seat, you should see it move.

The "cooled" option is not air conditioned, its just a fan that pulls colder air from the floor up through the seat. Once you start driving and the cabin acclimates the floor temperature becomes the same temperature as the rest of the cabin and so it no longer feels cool. The fan isn't moving that much air so once the temperature is the same you stop feeling anything at all but on a hot day when you first start the car and turn the AC on, make sure the vents are also set to the floor and turn the cooled seats on, you will definitely feel the colder air coming through the seat until the cabin temp equalizes.

My previous Infiniti had AC cooled seats, they really got cold and I always had to turn the fan down after a few minutes. My previous C7 and now C8 vert seats are just ventilated and do not work very well, especially, with the top down.
