Test Drove a C8
Hi everyone,
I haven’t owned a Corvette since 2003. Last one was a C5 which I enjoyed very much. My sister just took delivery of a Red Mist Coupe and I had a chance to drive it. All I can say is the car is amazing. A few observations for what it’s worth.
1)Car is so civilized, very smooth ride with the magnetic suspension.
2)Surprisingly quiet, by far the quietest Corvette ever with regard to road, engine, and exhaust noise.
3)Interior is world class, seats are comfortable and plenty of leg and head room for me. I’m 6’2”
4)Transmission felt great in both manual and automatic mode. Lightning quick shifts. I’ve always owned manual transmission sports cars and although the mechanical feel of the manual is missing this car is still very enjoyable to shift in manual mode.
So to all you folks waiting to pick up your C8s, congrats and enjoy. It is an amazing car.
