Mecum sells cars to people who can spend stupid money. I was a regular attendee at the Bloomington Gold Corvette Shows when they held them in St. Charles, IL. from 2002 until they moved them back to Bloomington around 2012. Mecum was there every year auctioning off Corvettes on consignment. You could get a better deal there at the Corvette Corral where owners who didn't want their cars to go through the auction parked them with for sale signs on them. I once saw Mecum auction off a numbers matching triple black 63 fuelie for $153k.
My question would be how much the owner netted over MSRP, taxes, doc fees, etc....on the 2021 you posted about after Mecum fees. That owner could have done much better on the open market.
