i believeeeeeee it’s an LPO option meaning it will be shipped separately to the dealer and the car will come with the black one installed. Don’t quote me on this though ._.

If you want the black one back, I would make sure to let them know before they do the PDI. The reason I say that is if the tech who installs the new cover does not know you want the old one back they might toss it or even keep it for the shop if they do not know you want it back.

There is another PDF on installing inexpensive LED battery power lights when you want to show someone the engine at night!
Just checked and of the ~50 PDF Links provided at the end of each doc, there are now ~20 for the C8! Most minor mods but some like replacing Z51 brake pads with low dust ceramic pads (essential for the Z51) are more detailed.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. I think the cover should be edge red to match the valve covers. I like the edge red side covers, but some have said they should match the car color? What’s everyone think?
