Default Engine screen covers

Anyone come up with an idea of designing screen plugs so the engine compartment doesn’t get swamped with water when washing
OR am I doing it wrong 👀😎

4" wide painters tape or throw a beach towel over the engine (must be cool to the touch, especially cats).

I use the towel method and it couldn't be any easier than that. I don't try to seal it off, just let the towel catch it. I don't spend 5 minutes in the hatch area after washing the car.

These work great...

I just dampen them ,fold them in half and press them into the vents..They keep the water out..After the car is washed, i use them to dry the car...
