Default 2021 2 LT vs 3 LT EXPERIENCE

Hi All,
ok I am not trying to reopen a bunch of old threads. So please redirect me when possible. I’m hoping to be ordering my new C8 soon. From those who chosen the 3 LT option have you found the experience worthwhile? What about the 3 LT is worth the money? For me it’s being able to purchase more options vs less options and the 3 LT. Spec will be Silver Flare/ Stingray R package/Strike Yellow interior/Yellow callipers/Carbon Flash mirrors/Transparent Roof. If I go 2 LT I can buy more options but go to a red interior. I want the 3LT if it’s worth it but nothing if it’s only ok.
Thank you

3LT is worth it for the amount of interior combinations you unlock, great way to customize your Corvette.

The materials are also great. People say 2LT has good quality but the leather is literally the same you get in a 30k Camaro. 3LT gives you Nappa leather which looks and feels so much better then the Mulan leather in 2LT.

After having a 2LT C7 and getting a 3LT C7, I never wanted to go back to 2LT. The materials were so much nicer and you do spend all your time inside the car so if you can swing it go 3LT.

Everyone compliments me on my 3LT morrelo red interior. That alone, is worth a lot.

I wanted yellow stitching and 3LT was the only way to get it. I love it and it smells delicious.

I got the Adrenaline Red 3LT and absolutely love it. But the interior carbon fiber package and red seatbelts were just as important IMHO.

3LT doesn’t offer anything but better materials and color choices. It’s worth is 100% subjective.

I think it’s crappy that GM locked, red and yellow stitching options in the 3LT. I get the material upgrades and additional high end color options like Morello and Rapid Blue, bu there is Zero reason you can’t get stitching color on a black interior on 2LT. Instead you HAVE to get the red interior to get 2LT red stitching...I just don’t like red that much.

I had 3LT on my C7 Z06 and loved it...but got it heavily discounted from dealer inventory at the time. So it was an added bonus, not something I’d have “paid for”

I can’t justify spending $4,650 on a 3LT just so I can get yellow or red stitching. But the added color combinations make it perfect for some. To each their own.

Why is this a contentious issue? If you think 3LT is worth it then get it. If not then don't.

Get what you think will make you happy. For some it's easy...to get the color combo they want, 3LT is mandatory. For others, anything more than 1LT is a complete waste of money. Still others like the look and feel of wrapped leather all around. And there's some more who it's not that important for. So, you'll have answers all over the spectrum. But the bottom line is you should be happy with your choice, because not only do you have to pay for it, you are the one who's going to live with it. "Don't worry, be happy"

I agree the Nappa leather smell of the 3LT interior is intoxicating. I had to compromise somewhere with my build so I chose the 2LT with GT2 two-tone seats with suede inserts. Looks pretty classy just doesn’t smell as good at the 3LT.

im actually happy with 2LT but do not want the same colors as everyone else so I was considering Strike yellow. At least ill have a more rare car than black/red/neutral. Now is it worth 4500 to not have red interior? I say no but still undecided

The only reason I would not get the 3lt is many car companies have a problem with a leather wrapped by the windscreen coming undone. I know it is an issue with C7 3LT's and I believe the C6 LT4 had the issue as well. However, I do agree the color combo are worth it. I like two tone interior so I was lucky in 2018 anyway you could get a 2LT C7 two tone - it was an option for about 600. and another 300 or so for suede.

Good luck

The 3LT is a must have to get the Nat Dipped interior. I love the leather smell and with torch Red exterior it combines sports car with luxury car. It even goes faster ( in my mind) on the track due to the leather smell !!! lol

People who bought the 3LT will tell you it's worth it. People who decided it wasn't worth it bought the 2LT (or 1LT). Only you can decide what's important to you in terms of the interior and how much that's worth it to you. 2LT is the top selling trim level for the '21 model year, but if you really want the strike yellow interior you'll have to pay the piper.

But before you order strike yellow, consider that huge gray area on the dash is going to reflect in the windshield all the time. I've already seen a couple of people complaining about it. Not saying you shouldn't get it, just make the decision with full knowledge.

As far as Napa, the only part of the interior GM says is Napa are the bolsters in the GT2 seat. Even the seating surfaces are admitted to be Mulan, and none of GM's marketing materials or websites say the dash, doors, console or anything else is Napa. And you can bet they'd be bragging about it if it were.

(Mulan is "leather" at least in a way. The 1LT and 2LT dash and other surfaces are "synthetic leather.")

I also debated long and hard about going 3LT to get red stitching and in the end I decided it was worth it since I was going to get GT2 seats anyway so the delta was more like $3k if I remember correctly. Drop in the bucket compared to over cost of car and as some said earlier you spend most of your time inside the car so why not enjoy it? And it may not be Napa leather everywhere, the materials feel nicer than 2LT. That strike yellow is killer, if you can afford it just do it! Chances are you will regret it more if you didn’t than if you did.
