For those that have the non splitter cars. I just bought and mounted the front splitter. Very easy, about a hour work at a 72 year olds pace. I was concerned about jacking the car up, and didn't need to. Easy on.
I have a nice clean garage and garage floor. I was going to jack the car up when I decided to check the torx size. I have a stubby handle with multiple torx bits that fit in the end. Once I found the size I seen I could easily remove the torx screws. I took out all of the screws, put the two sided tape on the splitter. placed the splitter on two old bath room rugs that were folded (it brings the splitter within a couple of inches where it is mounted.)and mounted it. I bought the splitter from Wild hammer motor sports 847-469-8306 I believe they said it was the ones GM use, but can't confirm, but it seems to be a decent quality.. Same black with metallic specks as the rest of my trim.

Thank you for the information, might be the same ones GM use, but painted for sales. All I know is that it seemed a decent quality, matched my color, and fit like a glove.

Thanks for the good news Roger. UPS just dropped my splitter off last Friday. I was toying with the idea of installing it myself, so now I think I'll give it a try. I've been waiting for it to show up since January.
Just make sure you don't screw the torx screws down tight until you get all the screws in to make sure it all lines up. Try not to get the sticky two sided tape stuck until all of your screws are in.

The splitter I bought doesn't have any 2 sided tape,it's just held on with the torx screws...

The factory splitter doesn't use any two sided tape either. I just went to the Wildhammer site and the carbon flash painted splitter is aftermarket (doesn't make it bad) and not OEM GM piece. The fact the one you bought is painted carbon flash makes it look very nice compared to the Tupperware GM one.
That should make it much easier without two sided tape. The tape was what I thought over kill.
It does and you also made a good point to get the screws close before snugging them down. The whole thing needs to be able to move just a bit to get it fitted perfectly and then tighten all the screws.
Question for you guys...I also have a 1LT (July build) and bought the OEM splitter to install. Does the car come with pre drilled holes where it fastens? Does it come with the torque screws or do I need to get them? Thanks all.

You're good to go. All screws are already in place and no drilling. Couldn't be much easier.
FWIW, I have the C7 Carbon equivalent to the splitter that comes with the GM 5VM Areo Splitter and Side skirts. Mine is painted carbon flash, although for $~100 more you can get the top layer as real visible carbon fiber cloth (had similar from them on my 2014 Z51.)
Only the OEM screws holding it, can't see where double sided tape would help as lots of screws! And they are not very tight nor should they be reinstalled tight. I used a hand ratchet, quicker than a battery powered wrench. Takes little room so could install without lifting.
Can be done without lifting the front, if desired
C7 Carbon (Platinum Forum Vendor) Splitter with real visible carbon cloth outer layer on my 2014 Z51.
